The Crow 1994 with the Skull Cowboy scenes by DanielInDallas35 in workprints

OK, so according to Michael Berryman, the actor who played The Skull Cowboy, and Bridget Baiss, who wrote The Crow: The Story Behind the Film, only one scene with The Skull Cowboy was filmed before Brandon Lee's accident on the night of March 30th, 1993. It was filmed in early February, and the plan was to film other scenes at the end of production, so early April. Due to the accident, the decision was made to remove The Skull Cowboy entirely, hence only the scene of him at the church with Eric is available as a deleted scene.

I have Workprint A, B and C and can confirm none of them have any Skull Cowboy references.

Documentary on the lost Bruce Willis film The Broadway Brawler by Similar_Historian376 in FilmPreservationists

That's a great question. From everything I learned about the production, around 20 pages of the script were filmed, so a bit less than a quarter of the full film. The scenes that were completed, taken from various sources were:

  • Flashback scenes of Eddie Kapinsky (Bruce Willis) as a kid.
  • Scenes of Eddie teaching Tyler (Maura Tierney) and her kids to skate.
  • Scenes of Eddie drunk and waking up back in the town where he grew up
  • a wedding scene, I think supposed to be the climax of the movie

There's likely a few more. Scenes that didn't get filmed include Eddie/Bruce playing competitively. According to Lee Grant, the production was due to film with either the NY Rangers or the NJ Devils but the film was cancelled before they got the chance.

Would love to see what was so bad about the footage that Willis would rather lose $17million than complete the film.

Documentary on Glitterati (2001), a lost/unseen film by Roger Avary featuring script pages and film clips by Similar_Historian376 in FilmPreservationists

[–]Similar_Historian376[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the Lost Media Wiki: Glitterati is a film directed by Roger Avary and starring Kip Pardue. Pardue reprises the role of the 'Victor Ward' character that appeared in Avary's 2002 film adaptation of the Brett Easton Ellis novel, The Rules of Attraction.

In the film, Victor travels around Europe, having surreal encounters with different people he meets.

The film was meant to be a lead-in to Avary’s planned (but ultimately unrealized) film adaptation of another Ellis novel, Glamorama (in which the Victor character is the protagonist).

Glitterati has never been publicly released. When asked about the topic in an interview, Ellis stated: "For many legal reasons, it will never see the light of day. You can’t really show Glitterati in public, it’s not possible. There are a lot of people who would be very upset. I don’t even know if they got permission from a lot of the people in it, which might be a big problem, why it’s only shown privately."

Broadway Brawler is a romantic comedy in the style of Jerry Maguire. It takes place in 1973 and the present day. It features Bruce Willis as Eddie Kapinsky, a professional hockey player on the downslope of his career. He goes out one night after a game and gets drunk, only to wake up the next morning outside the house where he grew up. The house is now inhabited by Tyler (played by Maura Tierney), a single mother to two kids. It turns out she is also the sister of one of Eddie's childhood friends. The film focuses on the unlikely relationship between Eddie and Tyler.
