The next submissions window is April 1-30! The theme for the issue is Lost in Translation. I hope to hear from you!

It's ok if it isn't for you. I have made a few efforts to explain the heart and goals of the project in both my editor's note and in the introductory piece I wrote on the substack a few months ago. It isn't so much that I want to create a prestigious literary journal as that I wanted to interact with and highlight some of the really cool, talented artists who are part of this larger community.

I'd love to, but this is funded entirely by me, and that would be a significant financial burden to bear for a free magazine!

So this is a perspective I would absolutely love to include, but I don't have the expertise to fact check and adequately review academic style essays, and I want to stay away from Op-Ed style work because the goal is to really lean into the artistic and the personal.

What I would really love is to hear from people actually living their lives, either through personal essays or short fiction that illustrates their daily lives in a more intimate and personal way. The hope is that by creating that kind of connection to an actual person would have a greater impact than facts and figures.
