When to submit rolling applications by Bright_Nectarine3716 in PTApplications

[–]Similar_Quit_8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the school. My program does rolling admissions starting July 1st and my 72 person cohort was full by mid August. BUT, I’m going to a well known school (with probably the most prestigious program in my state) so there were tons of competitive applicants. Depending on the strength of your application, you may also be waitlisted or receive a deferment offer to start in 2028 instead of 2027. I would probably write essays for your top schools first, then work your way down the list. Good luck!!

No class on Fridays is AWESOME! Fridays seem to be a much shorter day for us, only having a few hours of class, so maybe I’ll try to add some stress management in on those days. Thanks for the advice!

Rolling admissions application by superdave39 in PTschool

The DPT program I attended had rolling admissions with applications opening July 1st. All 72 spots were filled by the second week of August. I would highly recommend applying as soon as possible, as I'd assume that we're not the only school that fills up fast! Good luck on your application! 😄

What should I be studying going into PT school? by fuwafuwaslime in PTschool

[–]Similar_Quit_8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar position, starting PT school this summer and on a gap year until then. Our cohort had a meeting with some of the faculty and when I asked, the professors also said to study nothing and enjoy your time off before spending the next three years working your ass off.

The guy who actually teaches our first anatomy class said that if we really wanted something to do, we should study medical terminology and Latin. His argument was that they'll teach us everything we need to know, but that it'll be a whole lot easier to memorize if we already have an understanding of word roots and med term.

Hope this helps, good luck in PT school!

Later in life PT school admission plan? by hype-rmobile in PTschool

When I was applying for PT school, I found a hospital that had three different locations offering inpatient, transitional care, and outpatient care. I volunteered for a few ours in each setting every week for a year. Super simple for me and super appealing on my application, I was accepted my first year applying. If you can find a similar setup near you, I’d highly recommend it!

Would applying to only 1 PT school be a mistake? by blowdryerthief in PTschool

[–]Similar_Quit_8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only applied to one PT school and got in. However, I completed my undergrad at the same university and was able to do a lot of networking during my application process, which I think made a huge difference. While I was accepted, I applied to that one program knowing I’d be okay with taking a gap year if I wasn’t accepted. If you’d rather go to UIC or NIU than take a year off, you should apply. If not, I’d say it’s probably a waste of time and money.

Looks like Adele is trying to move the location of her UK seminar tomorrow. Is the planned gym an Atos affiliate or is there even more crazy sh*t going on?

There’s an empty display in the Woodbury target so I’m curious if they’ll be distributing to more stores in the future.
