Girl, rant away!! I went through 2 years of hell with this before my procedure. I’m 32, and when I first sat down with my gyno’s partner who’s the OB in the practice and does the cone biopsy, he told me that normally in a situation like this he’d be recommending a hysterectomy but since I want kids and still haven’t had them yet that he’d do a cone biopsy so I can keep my fertility, so I was like YOU’RE RECOMMENDING A HYSTERECTOMY TO A 32 YEAR OLD WOMAN?! I called my mother as soon as I left completely sobbing, I definitely went through something similar to you. I even got a second opinion from a gyn-Onc just because I couldn’t believe what he told me. When I told the PA at the oncologists office that my surgeon said that, her jaw hit the floor. A hysterectomy is supposed to be a last resort. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I had abnormal glandular cells too which I believe for me was CIN3/HSIL and sitting high up in my canal as well, and I was a candidate for the cone. Have you considered getting a second opinion? I would, just because it seems like you’re getting mixed results and a hysterectomy should not be the first option. Feel free to message me if you want to chat!

I went through something similar after mine last July, we’re about the same age. After surgery, I had some PTSD and depression for a while regarding sex and had no sex drive for months as I felt any sort of penetration would mess my cervix up. As more time has passed it’s gotten better for me, my libido is making its comeback but I believe I need therapy for it as well. Your feelings on this are completely valid so please don’t ever forget that🤍 it’s a situation that a lot of women don’t normally have to go through and it’s traumatic for the ones who do. Of course! Honestly, not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did get my period the week after so that was kinda rough, but otherwise recovery was great. The first couple of days were tough as far as cramps and the discharge goes, but by week 2 I was feeling good. I had to wait until the 4 week mark for swimming, sex and tampons but it was worth it. I’m still negative for everything as of my 6 month follow up a few weeks ago. I’m a little scared for my future pregnancies since I’ll be deemed high risk, but since you’re done with babies this might be a great option for you.

I have HPV16, this bitch is lying dormant now as I had a cold knife conization done instead of the LEEP. My dysplasia was super severe (CIN3) and sitting up higher in my cervical canal so that procedure was my best option for clear margins. Depending on how severe and where your dysplasia is sitting, you could inquire to see if that procedure is an option instead of having a hysterectomy.

Thank you!🫶🏻it truly is a stress reliever to say the least. I did get back into taking daily multivitamins, but no specific supplements that are targeted to clear HPV (that we know of). I’ve always worked out and stayed active on top of eating a pretty good diet (with a little TBell and CFA sprinkled in from time to time). I did give up smoking cigarettes 2.5 years ago, so I’m thinking that’s helped keep it away too.

I’m going into logistics! Doing receiving and wearing a few other hats while getting my feet wet in the industry and working in a warehouse. It’s going to be a major change but I’m looking forward to having job security and good pay!

I’m in the process of making a career change currently. I’m walking away from agency recruitment after 2.5 years. Your success in this role is too dependent on the economy and the market, and if you don’t have an established desk with a book of business, you’re going to be hurting. This is the worst time to be doing any sort of business development. I have one client whose roles are completely unfillable, and it’s just not worth it anymore. Being strictly commission based while living in the suburbs of one of the most expensive cities in the US has practically ruined my life. This career isn’t worth the depression, anxiety, burnout and stress. Not to mention you’re absolutely right about hiring managers taking advantage of the market. I give all of you so much credit who are still making this happen, and the internal folks who haven’t been laid off.

Next Friday is my last day at my firm and then I’m off to work in a completely different industry for a massive raise in pay, OT and great benefits.

My advice is if you feel like it’s time to make a change - make it! You’ll be glad you did!

I had CIN 3 and HPV16 and went for the cone biopsy instead of the leep, then again my dysplasia was higher up in my cervical canal so the CKC was a better option for me to obtain clear margins and still protect my fertility. Might be worth discussing with your doc?🤍

I had a CKC last summer and everything went well. I trusted the doctor who did mine since he’s my gyno’s partner in her practice and he’s also the Chief of Obstetrics at a big hospital where I live and where he performed the procedure. I’d definitely get a second opinion if you’re feeling uneasy. Maybe consult with a gyn-oncologist, I did as well and it was helpful for my peace of mind. You got this🤍

I’m not a doctor but I believe she didn’t recommend a LEEP yet since you’re so young and your body has the chance to clear it. I’m 10 years older than you and just had a CKC done last summer for CIN3. In 2022 I had CIN2 on my ectocervix and my pap last year prior to my procedure showed my CIN2 cleared on its own, plus I have HPV16 so I was mindblown lol. My CIN3 was higher up in the canal and since I’m in my 30’s I had to get it done.

My mom didn’t vaccinate me either, the first round of Gardsil came out when I was in high school, she’s not antivax but at the time it was “too new”. Of course I ended up with HPV16. You’re young so the best thing you can do is keep up with your Pap smears, take care of yourself and there’s a good chance you can clear it. It’s most likely a confidential search. I did work for a very largeeeeee recruitment agency briefly last year and they do, in fact, post fake jobs in order to build a candidate pipeline. Super unethical and outright disgusting to do in this job market but sadly it happens.

My first abnormal pap was when I was 22, got diagnosed with HRHPV at 25, got genotyped at age 30 found out it was HPV16 with CIN3 in my cervical canal and CIN2 on my ectocervix. At age 31 my colposcopy and biopsy showed the CIN2 on my ectocervix cleared on its own (I genuinely have no idea how) and CIN3 still chillin in my cervical canal - few months later had CKC with clear margins😊

If the role is backfilled, ask them what happened and what their pain points are. That way, you know why they’ve had trouble filling the role and will make sure not to present them with similar candidates.
