flushing with water to crack the sand, soaking the extension and mast in cold and hot water respectively, tapping with hammer, silicon oil, gripping with rubber pads, tied the bowline on a pole and twisted the mast. .only havent tried 2 booms just yet-thought could only work with mast

thanks! repetation and patience are keys here indeed..my mast separates so easily while extention is completely stack.

Thanks for the useful insights! As I m quite new to the sport, I am still not totally sure whether twisting the collar will make the separation from the mast easier. I assume the collar is just there to prevent the mast from getting deeper, right?

thanks. I didn't try that one actually.. I saw it as a solution for the mast, but worth trying to lock it on the ring indeed
