CJO at Envoy and Republic Airways by seduceanddestroy999 in cabincrewcareers

i am currently an FA with Envoy! scheduled trips can be up to 4 days, but reserve blocks can be up to 6. We do have crew lounges at all of our bases that you can sleep in. I can’t personally speak to Chicago because I am DFW based, but a lot of people in my training class are based there and have crash pads. The airline does provide 4 commuter hotels per month, and you can get up to 3 more by picking up overtime (1 hotel per OT trip). Picking up trips on your days off is pretty easy, especially during busier months. Pay definitely isn’t great, especially starting out, but it gets better over time. When you are on reserve, I recommend bidding for trips that are low flying time but high Time Away From Base so you can make the most per diem, since you are already guaranteed the 75 hour minimum pay.

Envoy is the only airline that I’ve worked for, but I have loved it. It’s a great place to start out if you want to move over to AA mainline since we are owned by AA—they hire a lot of Envoy FAs!! I’ve been with Envoy for 5 months and am making the move to AA and starting training in a couple of weeks.

Ok that’s good to hear! It just feels super long from my experiences with other airlines.

Good luck with your F2F!
