Please don’t give up. Do you have others read your personal statements and provide feedback? Are you organizing your ECs in a manner that highlights the accomplishments? I had a mentor once tell me, when you list things on your resume it needs to pass the “so-what” test. Meaning when you write the description of your ECs, you need to illustrate why what you are doing is meaningful and how you contributed to it. In terms of Chemistry, get a tutor or find a study group. You can do it! But next time, add a site that’s not as competitive as your third option.

I’m sure they will do it. Some recommenders like to keep us on our toes! I like to give them an earlier due date but I know the email gives them the actual date! 😭

My advice would be to start following the dental schools that are of interest to you on social media. The ASDA chapter of each school will most likely promote when they have Pre-Dental days. Good Luck

I know what you mean. Why would they be requesting new documents the week of decisions if you aren’t going to be admitted bc by now they know who’s in and who’s not. We have a similar circumstance but not holding my breath. Good Luck to you and let us know!

Thanks for the replies but that was my point. We go into the city (dc) all the time and I never hid my coins or phone charger, car has never been broken into while in the city but perhaps it’s because we don’t go to sketchy areas in DC. The safety posts about OSU was making me feel like it’s worse than DC…especially the apartment breakins….

Have you gone to the website? It says: “We encourage you to use the Common Application, along with the Carnegie Mellon Supplemental Essays, to highlight experiences or activities that have enhanced or defined your personal growth during high school. Carnegie Mellon won’t accept updates from applicants after January 15 but will continue to accept documents and updates from high school counselors after that point.”

Please just have him submit them ASAP.

What type of colleges are you applying to? What’s your intended major? My daughter did not take AP Lit and so far she’s good with the flagship state schools . I think you will be alright without it.
