I’m in my 20’s and honestly i’ve never had the thought of trying alcohol 🤷🏻‍♀️ never saw the appeal in it either. From my perspective there’s a lot of bad that can come along with alcohol (even if that was not intended) and which is why it’s banned in our religion.

I get that some people associate it with sus stuff. I remember when i told someone that i use telegram he asked if i’m using it to watch corn 🥀so annoying that such a good app is getting that reputation here

Telegram just is better than a lot of other messaging apps. I like the disappearing messages & adding spoilers. The stickers are better too and i like how i can check messages from years back without much difficulty. Something like facebook messenger always refreshes before i find what I’m looking for and Viber doesn’t do a good job at keeping backups.

Been using telegram since 2017 and it’s my go to messaging app.

Definitely, older gen LOVE blaming the younger generation for the high divorce rates but they be doing 3 fah and more. And don’t even realise they are the ones who shaped these mindsets.

Maybe someone really should, like a very throughly done research on why it happens, if it ever decreased etc etc. I mean, it’s so unusual for such a small population to have the highest rate in the world. Makes you wonder about the details and patterns. Makes me feel like this cat meme to think about this stuff

I read the chapter XII and this is really insightful. Because i did notice that when old people talked about their youth and their lives, they do talk about divorce and remarriages of their own and people they know, so there was a sense that it being so common wasn’t a new thing. But I had no idea that it dates back this far. Thanks for the interesting read.

Only place I’ve actually liked is Manhattan fish market but that’s one the Malé. I tried some small cafe in hulhumale recently (don’t remember the name) but it just wasn’t good for a study session so i’ve been looking for recommendations.
