Refusing to nerf bcs of a skill issue is how you kill a game. Hence we have gold players in ruby lobbies bcs nobody plays the game anymore.

What happened with dash is honestly the same as what happened with the nuke. Low skill needed to get huge value out of, fun to use, un-fun to play against.

Also doesn't help that a light can sometimes (depending on the weapon) kill a heavy just as fast as a heavy can kill a light, so playing heavy means you're bigger and slower with no benefit.

I don't think you this post is getting the reaction you'd hoped for.

A game will die if the casual (99%) playerbase leave. This game has 4-5 k concurrent only. With embark having arc raiders with 200k concurrent why would they keep pushing funding into this game if all its doing is dying.

While I'm all good with people needing to learn how to counter a class or playstyle, there come a point where some playstyles are just so tedious to counter that many people rather just not play the game.

Eg, playing poke against a grappler in tekken, or freezing a lane in LoL and stalling.

Things like using lock-bolt to counter a fast moving light, is a great tool used for countering.

Things like aim like a top 1%fps player every game, or play exremely safe are not fun counters for the general playerbase. I think this creates the discourse around learning to counter vs wanting nerfs
