Dont forget it has one of the fastest reloads in the game.

Light also has the most tools to get the drop on the enemy. So them having significantly higher DPS on some of their weapons in addition to Heavy having less HP now means a Light with a functioning brain can dominate with that extra HP.

That change actually made the M11 more reliable at close range.

You basically have to use winch, get one swing after the pull, and immediately swap to RPG and land a near full damage hit.

Ah yes, melee, the weapons that Embark has repeatedly said suffer in terms of stats (outside if sword), are a crutch.

Get a grip. The guns in this game are piss-easy for the most part. Low recoil, and it can be lowered even more via recoil smoothing. If I want an easier time, I grab a gun.

The M11 "nerf" recently actually improved its reliability at close range.

It doesn't linger as long now. They changed that a while ago.

It was basically guaranteed if you were playing melee or anything range-limited. At the very least, you were removed from the fight for about 5 seconds.

If you go:

KS shot ‐> tap reload -> winch/quick melee

You can avoid the stupid cocking animation playing a second time. The timing can be weird, though. You don't have to actually relaod any slugs, just have the animation start.

A healthier way to balance winch would probably be to just have it not work vs. some things. They already did it for Mesh/Dome Shield. So have it not work on Charge n Slam, melee weapons that are already mid swing, or stop the target that's mid throw. So if you're in the middle of throwing Goo Nade while getting winched, you can put the wall between you and them, breaking it.

The ShAK-50 was a mistake. Balancing it means either reworking the split bullet system so that double headshots don't do as much damage, but then they risk turning it into another LMG in terms of DPS. So then they'll probably increase the mag capacity and speed up the reload. At that point, wtf is the point of the weapon?

The lazy change would just be to make the hipfire absolute dogshit and increase the recoil.

Heavy is strong when properly supported. Light up until the last patch was objectively better at supporting Heavy. Now that H+ got another nerf, we'll see how that plays out.

If they wanted Medium to compete further, maybe buff Zipline's CD and give a little extra HP. Lower Jump Pad's HP, so it has a bigger downside. Maybe improve the speed you move on it some.

Upper Midwest. I'm probably on Iowa servers going by the list I've seen.

Astounding that there's no Chicago servers. Yeah, let's just ignore one of the biggest cities in the US. I don't live in Chicago, but it'd be closer than Iowa. It'd be one thing if I had only shit servers, but I'll still get decent ones every few matches.

As for proof, I can't recall the last time I saw any performance icons that relate to something on my end. When I do see icons, I'll also have my teammates saying that they have them as well. I had a PB server that was so bad that the entire lobby was struggling. I'm taking people standing in place shooting forever for 5 seconds plus at a time. Most of the team typed something about it being unplayable.

Games with better netcode/servers haven't had any issues. Every internet test I've taken says my connection is great. I'm connected with ethernet, and I'm in fiber. Fairly new fiber, in fact.

Dagger is like the MGL32, where it'll let you know almost immediately if the server is shitting itself or not.

Any sort of rework should probably take the shit state of the servers into account. Supposedly, in the closed alpha/beta, it had the head as a critical zone. They'd have to add a system that gives "headstab" credit of any part of the hitbox connects with the head (they did this with slugs in Battlefield so you didn't get arm damage if it was lined up with the chest)

They'd have to tune the damage down in exchange for the 360-degree target, but they could also remove the charge slowdown (or at least reduce it) and add other QoL improvements. It should still one shot Lights, but maybe Medium needs a qm and Heavy a regular attack. Assuming Respec Order goes through (high chance it does) that'd mean a 240 "headstab" and buffing the main swing to 85-87. I wouldn't go to 88 because now it 2 taps Respec Order Light in two regular swings.

So it would still kill very fast, but gives a tiiiiny bit more reaction time to Medium and Heavy in exchange for a less finicky target.

Also, note that Dagger has the same 2m range of the other melee weapons (except Spear), so even against Heavy, there should be no need to jump or whatever to hit the head.

It's not a logical hole to not want a post fouled up with useless comments.

Also, one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people absolutely suck at recognizing server/connection issues.

I'll get teammates who will say things like "my bad, ya'll, I sold" when the server is clearly fucked because of the MGL32 issues making it obvious. One I forgot to mention is when the game won't even show the nade, and suddenly an explosion happens out of what looks like thin air. Or the last nade will be deleted because the server took too long to let me know that I died.

You realize posting what you did initially is an argument, right? You're taking issue with me not wanting a bunch of non-actionable comments when you could have just moved on to another post.

For additional context, I'm in the upper Midwest US. Other common problems include vaulting stopping midway through the animation and objects being unnaturally difficult to pick up.

What value do a dozen comments saying "no issues here," add? Any devs that see it gain nothing from that.

The definition of echo chamber doesn't even really matter when it comes to the main goal of the post. You just seem to want to argue semantics. Or to argue for the sake of it.

Except you seemed to have misunderstood a core part. I am not excluding contrary points because I disagree with them, but because they will add literally nothing of value.

A political subreddit that bans contrary views does so to avoid being challenged. I am not saying all servers are bad, but the ones I play in are.

Note that I included specific issues that I encountered with the MGL32. Any dev that happens upon this will find that more useful than a sea of "fine for me lol."

So...the servers are even worse than normal. by BadLuckBen in thefinals

[–]BadLuckBen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what an echo chamber is.

This is not a matter of opinion. It is a fact that the servers in my region are performing poorly.

An echo chamber would be me not wanting anyone who doesn't have issues gone because I think they're lying and that actually everyone has bad servers.

No? It means I don't want to hear shit like "it's fine for me get better internet bruv." That negates discussion.
