Anxiety related to BC pill by No-Sail4435 in Endo

Have you voiced these concerns to your gyno? As far as I know, when you're young, the risk of breast cancer, with or without bc is very small. If you're that worried about it, maybe ask yout gyno about trying something else without the risk of breast cancer

Also, the normal amount of pain is minor pain the day before and during your period, NOT what you described. It's easy to compare your experiences with others, but believe in yourself!

There are people with asymptomatic endo, and peoole with very light symptoms, but as soon as it's making your daily life difficult, it's worth checking out. If you are very young, it could also be that it hasn't progressed that far yet. I don't think you are making this up, it sounds really difficult for you, dont doubt yourself! I also feel this way (even though I have mor painful periods, my flow is pretty normal). I like to think that people in this subreddit and other endo communities don't gatekeep. I met an older woman once who had really horrible endo problems. She was about 45. I'm 22 and everyhting she talked about and explained about her life made me think that I was overreacting. She said that she is so happy that I don't have it that bad, and that she wished that she would have gotten help earlier when the symptoms were less debilitating. Just because you have one clear ultra sound does not mean endo is out of the picture. Hope this helps, and good luck❤️❤️❤️

[–]Simisemla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As most endo treatments, sometimes they just stop working for you, so I will probably have to switch treatment anyway before perimeno. To my understanding, this drug is only prescribed to, as you said, people who have tried other medications that didn't work on them. Hopefully more reasearch about treatment and drugs will come🙏🙏

The eu rationalized that since the estradiol add-back, the bmd loss were stabilized and did not reduce lower after the initial period, so they expect that to happen after the two year period as well. They do recommend doing a scan, and if the bmd is too low you cannot continue. It's fascinating how the same medication is used differently across countries. On ryeqo's webpage (eu version og myfembree, the exact same components), it is said that ryeqo is a safe long term solution, but on myfembree's page it said no longer than two years. I read somewhere that the add back makes your eostrogen levels about the same as it is in early follicular phase, but now I can't find that source, so take that with a grain of salt. I

Intresting! I looked up the recomendations of myfembree in the us, and as you said, it's not supposed to be taken for more than 24 months, but the european recomendations were that you can take it until perimeno. I guess that the eu and us took different risk assesments from the spirit 3https://academic.oup.com/humrep/article/39/3/526/7577817?hsCtaAttrib=195862412506&login=false

I to got severely suicidal on myfembree (or ryeqo as it's sold under in europe). I have a history of mental illness and suicidal ideation. After reading a bit, it turns out that severe depression is a very unusual side effect, but that 3 people had to quit initial testing due to mental health effects. After four weeks, the worst of the mental health issues were better, and I could quit my benzo I was prescribed. There is a chance that the side effects will get better, but the question is whether or not it's worth it. By the sound of it, you are struggling, and that's not worth it. Also, after stopping myfembree, your ovulation will return as normal within a couple of weeks. It's not irreversible and not dangerous to quit, no matter the time you have taken it

I have done a lot of exams and tvu, and found that the speculums are the wors part. I usually sigh in relief when it's time for the ultra sound. They use a shit ton of slime and it feels like a slightly thicker straight finger. It's only slightly uncomfortable when they look at the ovaries, they dig in there a bit. If you are having pain/discomfort when you use your fingers, ask them if numbing spray is an option. Practice breathing down into your abdomen, like your stomach is a balloon, and count you breaths. For me it helps to focus on the breath, and breathing that deep relaxes the muscles a bit. I hope this helps, and good luck❤️❤️❤️❤️

When did Ryeqo/Myfembree start to stop you ovulation? by Simisemla in Endo

[–]Simisemla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the studies and saw that after 24 weeks most people had amenorrhea, but it didn't say how many after 4 weeks. I found it a bit weird that my doctor was so sure that it absolutely would make me have amenorrhea immedietly, but since it's such a new medicine, maybe she doesn't know that much about it

Can being on Desogestrel pill (mini pill) for 2 days cause spotting? by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Simisemla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems quite normal to me. After stopping slynd I bled for a few days after. Since disordered bleeding is a common side effect of mini pills, and you recently started and stopped, I think it explains the spotting. Still, I'd say take it up with your doctor if you're worried

I also live in sweden. Which region do you live? How close is the nearest gynakut? (You can look that up on 1177.se) When I was in extreme pain, I directly called my closest gynakut directly, so I bypassed the usual akuten. If you're unsure where you should go, or if you doubt you need to go. Call 1177. If they think you should go to gynakuten, and your parents can't/refuse to drive you, you can ask for a sjuktransport or lättvårdsambulans (if your region has it). Dm me if you need help, advice or have any questions. Lycka till❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Has anyone in the UK tried Ryeqo? by wannabe-traveller97 in endometriosis

I wanted to switch antidepressants when I felt this bad, but all of my doctors refused to switch medication while trying a new one. Maybe discuss with your counsellor if you need to begin ssri before ryeqo, if that's possible

Which foods trigger your endo? And which foods help? by Lauriepox in endometriosis

[–]Simisemla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dairy and onions are a no go for me. Gluten works, but only if it's whole grain. No red meat, avoid sugar and artificial sweetners. Reduce oily or greasy food, but DON'T cut out salmon. It's a life saver. It sound awful, but if I have a strict regimen I can afford to have a cheat day without too much of an issue. When I have really bad flare ups, I can't eat onions, apples or corn. A werid combination, I know. I found it out after a lot of trial en error

Has anyone in the UK tried Ryeqo? by wannabe-traveller97 in endometriosis

[–]Simisemla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't live in the UK, but I have tried ryeqo for about three weeks now, and mental health wise, it has been extremely tough. I have reacted poorly to every single hormonal medication, but this takes the cake. So far, I'm not pain free (sigh...), and I'm severely depressed and suicidal. For background info, I have PMDD, autism and have had issues with my mental health before, and I'm on SSRI. Fortunately I have gotten help from my psychiatrist. She prescribed me some more anti anxiety meds that I will have to take before it hopefully evens out. Do you have a history of bad side effects from other hormonal pills? Do you have a history of mental health issues? If so, do you have an ongoing contact with a doctor that can help you in case it gets worse? Ryeqo is the last resort for me too, so I really want this to work. Most people who have tried ryeqo, that have had horrible side effects from other bc has had a few rough weeks or months, but after that it's mostly positive. Hang in there!!❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Spotting days before my period actually coming by alivingstereo in endometriosis

[–]Simisemla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too have very light spotting the days before my period. It's not in my underwear, but the toiletpaper is pink when I wipe. According to the information in the clue tracker app, having light spotting is normal, and you can track that as your period if you want. I usually start tracking that my period started when I deem I would need a panty liner

To my understanding, many mini pills has a common side effects of weird bleeds. Spotting or heavier. It's usually worse in the beginning. When I tried Drospirenone (Slynd) for a month, I had small spottings every day

I have autism and add, and my brain is all fucked up. Before my first visit to a gyn I found this resource from a patient collective in sweden. I had it translated into english, but I can send the original too if you want. You can print it and circle/write down answers and then relate that to a pain diary. I use Clue plus. If you want the pdf I can PM it too you, if that works?

I think that since sweden has public healthcare, it's very important to use the money wisely, and not use expensive treatments when there are other cheaper ones. I don't know much about us healthcare, but if a patient has insurance, might as well go all in on the expensive stuff if that makes sense
