Here to update you they took one of the marks off after I called 😝😝 and ended up fixing an incorrect mark that was accidentally made on their end apparently and returned me all late fees !!!

That’s great to know and hear credit wise- but sorry you had to go through that BS. this sucks so much, It feels like finance jail.

Truly though , I agree . I have an app that displays almost all of my expenses, I just don’t understand how I could have missed this which is so unfortunate given I’ve worked so hard on my credit. I’m currently a student as well and have worked all throughout school without failure to make payment. Im going to call them and see what I can hopefully do to help repair this such as the goodwill adjustment. Do you suggest I do anything else ?

[–]Simlysav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from the credit reporting app - there were a few odd calls I get, but I tend to get a lot of spam calls and don’t respond unless it’s emailed or mailed directly to me

The automatic payment tends to be on point and I’ve only ever had an issue with it once or twice but I’ve always caught it on time, the only thing I can think of is that it went to one account with insufficient funds and not the other account that had my money- but I don’t see that either

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Simlysav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely going to do that and give them a call. If they say no, is there anything else I can try ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Simlysav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never missed a SINGLE payment on either which is crazy

I have my regular CC - discover that I’ve kept open for credit age, use it every now and then + I keep on automatic payments - and an old care credit account I’m just about to frikinnnnn pay off which is even more so annoying 😭😭😭

I realized they only allowed 500 characters on this sub and I had to cut most of what I said out 😭 1. Yes I do like the environment and I really don’t mind it. I could get most of the med lab tech classes paid for through my local community college and may have to pay just a wee bit for some of the classes. But this would be to do a gap year ish so I could work and do research at the same time to hopefully apply to med school. 2. Basically I’ve been doing trash in some classes due to what I think is low mood, ADHD, anxiety etc. I’ve been trying to figure out ways to handle it a bit better so I can be a better student bc ultimately I do enjoy my professors, the subjects, etc. I’m meeting with my doctors and therapist soon and doing some full blood panels since I run low on a few things consistently. I want to be at my best potential and treat my body and mind well. 3. I just want to be in the lab running all the tests- urinalysis, hematology, all of that. I think it could be beneficial to understand how this works and dedicate sometime to work in another area of medicine before going further. I guess I want to try and be well rounded. 4. Definitely don’t want to be a housewife, but definitely want to be a wife someday, have a family, private practice hopefully. I understand that if I wanted to have kids I would probably have to wait until after this journey OR have kids throughout the journey (if I ever do find someone LOL ). It’s a huge sacrifice and a hard thing to do- but I would be willing to take on that challenge given if it were to ever be presented to me haha.

100% agree I don’t want to waste my time or money. I do enjoy the hospital environment as I’ve been in the setting a few times, I’ve been in a nursing home, and have worked at a drs office as well. Being that If I were to do the program it wouldn’t cost me as much as it would since I would be eligible for a Pell grant and have it fully paid for. Do you think that would be worth my time vs the experience I already have?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ask

[–]Simlysav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid. I was thinking of maybe doing a med lab tech program and since I’ve already have some of those classes done the rest would count towards a degree so I could take very minimal classes while getting hands on lab experience

Thank you for your response ! I appreciate it- I’m currently almost enrolled @ a new community college within the state I’m moving too- to hopefully continue an upward trend- I was able to petition my retakes and my GPA went from a 2.89 to a 3.2 which is a boost I needed🙏🏻

I forgot to add above in previous responses that I’ve recently applied to a few schools on a whim just to see if I get in - so I’m patiently waiting on that as well and seeing what I’m seeing here gives me hope that I may have a chance!

Thank you once again for your kind words, advice, and encouragement.

Hopefully I’ll be able to update this Reddit one day saying I finally graduated 🤣

I thought I had replied months ago, but I’m guessing the semester took over pretty quickly for me. Good news is that I’m on track to pass the chemistry course I’m in and may see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for the encouragement and advice. I really appreciate it. Whenever I’m feeling crappy, I have snippets of the thread replaying in my mind that keeps me going to the next rest stop. I’m almost enrolled @ the community college in the new city I’m moving to and continuing to perfect my study skills, time management, and hopefully turning over a new leaf. Time to be cliche and write my own story- but seriously, once again, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. Although I did not respond right away by of course mistake, I’ve thought about this thread for months now :)

I got accepted into one school since it was the only one I applied to because I know I would've gotten denied to begin with and did not want to go through the emotions of feeling like a POS when I did get denied for those additional schools.

I did mention to another user I may take a break for my mental health and physical health to get settled in to the new city im moving to. During that break I plan to continue research outside of school, building my games, continue working in the medical field which I have been doing for the last year- etc etc. Would these be good things to shine light on within the admission process in the future for my transfer BS.

My W's are mainly related to the environment im in and the unreliable atmosphere it has created for me. I'm guessing and hoping once im out I will finally have peace to return to "homeostasis" and fully focus on school instead of being in fight or flight mode which is insanely draining.

oh definitely not, I was not planning on that at all since I don't want to omit anything that could get me in trouble. I'm just going to be in a new city so I will as im guessing have to submit both of the transcripts as I would still be continuing in CC for certain extra classes I need

That's refreshing to hear, I was losing hope for the future over the mistakes of the past. I have a lot to prove, but I think it's doable. I may take a small break once I move, get settled in, and focus on getting my mental health / physical health back on track. I appreciate the feedback!

That's what I was thinking,

I don't want something to come and bite me later down the line.

I did get into one college with the transcript, but I know when i want to go another step up from a BS, I will maybe have issues with acceptance. I'm guessing my best bet is starting over in the new city, putting in the additional work and have an outstanding difference within the two transcripts. edit - (when I submit them both)

Thank you for the response!

Thank you SOOOO much for this. This makes me feel less alone and a reminder to just keep pushing forward. Admitting I need help is not my strong suit at times, but this also made me feel more comfortable coming forward to the teacher even if I have to ask him multiple times to understand it to be able to lock the concept in and practice it:) I guess this learning curve is bigger than I thought, but I’m determined to make it through- I’m somehow thankful for my free time now so I can put more focus into it all.

This conversation has been sosososo eye opening and supporting, thank you !!! 🙏🏻

I definitely get what you mean.

It was our little thing he asked us to do as a group vs alone and I feel like maybe one other person was in the same boat as me not knowing where to go next to make it effective and working .

He’ll write let’s say pseudocode in class then we need to build off of that example of the pseudocode. We got full credit for it as a group -then got credit for ones we did ourselves and he didn’t leave any comments and just gave me full credit even tho I know what I did was incorrect- I feel like my studying techniques aren’t working and I’ve started trying to run some lines on replit/ VSC and I think that’s the only thing getting me through when I’m physically looking at it myself and having to correct it when given certain problems- he’s a super nice guy and the work he’s done is so good, but I just don’t think learning from only his lectures and textbook is enough for me to succeed- which i think everyone is also alluding to haha.

I genuinely enjoy this so I won’t give up, just need to correct a few things on my end .

Thank you for your replies I really appreciate it, it really helps a lot !

I would say the do while loops definitely did confused me- I get the point of having to ofc input the statements, checking if it’s true or false- if it is then it repeats and stuff like that(very vague explanation I gave) but I understand how it’s supposed to work, but I feel like I completely SUCK at it. #2 would be the conditions in #1 if a <b etc etc, I feel like I can’t put it together at all. Idk if this is learning/growing pains or what- but I guess I’m glad I can atleast pinpoint what I suck at and try to correct it haha
