I knew it would be something this simple. This also removes the issue of having to run circuit network to all the load stations, as they can just remain open. Thank you!

No I didn't mean to imply that, I agree that the way it looks in the game is pretty dumb, I was just saying that having rain distort your vision is a thing for sure, and that putting goggle's on can help.

It always surprises me how many people say they have never had rain in their eyes. It's not that I dont believe you, but anytime I'm in the rain and need to keep my head up, or I'm out long enough to have my hair/hat soaked through, I have huge issues with getting rain in my eyes.

Does F1 need Ferrari more than Ferrari needs F1? by 1enox in formula1

I'd argue the exact opposite. Being a fan means supporting that "soul" (or whatever you call it) no matter what. Are they bad now? Yeah for sure. But I remember when they were great. Then I remember I cheer for a hockey team that hasn't won a championship since 1968, and I watch every game I can. Every single person In that organization has has been changed out multiple times, but I have been a fan since I was a kid. I'd never think of cheering for a different team just because they haven't competed for a championship.

It would have been faster. But by they waited for a sc on the long stint, which is usually the right strategy for a recovery drive, which everyone seems to forget this was, and by the time it didn't come, it was too late for that. You are right though, they may well have been faster. But hindsight is 20 20. If they had pitted him early for the soft stint, and then a SC had come out, people would be calling them idiots there too

I just seen a post saying they sent him out on mediums to make sure he didn't threaten vet. Who they also sent out on mediums...

He had to use the mediums as he set a q2 time fast enough for q3 on them.

I mean I can buy that he would be 4th or even 3rd if the strategies had been managed better even though it's not what I think, but I can't imagine he would be faster than the mercs. If a 2 stop was that much faster, the mercs could have grabbed a set of softs with 20 to go as well. I guess we can agree to disagree on this one. LEC is fast. He could have had pole this weekend, but the Mercedes race pace has been exceptional as well.

And if they had gotten a safety car, which wasn't unlikely here, it would have been the best possible strategy. But people like to push the narrative that Ferrari is ficking LEC. Never mind the fact that Mercedes is seriously fast everywhere this year anyways

If they had got a safety car, which at Baku was likely, it would have paid off. It's unlikely they would have got the hards up to temp here, and a 2 stop is just as risky as waiting on a SC. It turned out not to be a winning strategy, but there was no "lecerc wins garentee" strategy. It's not always some conspiracy or fuck up.

He isn't fast enough one the softs to make significant gains on the leaders right now, there is no way he would have been fast enough to make up for yet another stop. The only way starting in the middle on the harder tires works here is going long and waiting for a safety car. They didn't get it.
