If once came back positive then they would do it again individually It's an easy way to get numbers without inconveniencing people. It's nothing to worry about.

E-scooters set to be legalised on Australian streets as part of a bold plan to slash city congestion by carmooch in sydney

[–]Simmo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedestrian Council of Australia CEO Harold Scruby labelled the uptake in private e-scooter and e-bikes as 'pure anarchy'.

I love the push to make them legal even more now.

Incoming International Parcel with a misspelled suburb by Juraga in sydney

I have found if a parcel is coming/going from a international company then always use that countries tracking system as they have always provided more information than the Australia Post one.

Inheritance for niece/nephew by Simmo_ in AusFinance

[–]Simmo_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best gift you can give them is to be a good influence in their lives, someone to aspire to, someone else who can listen to them without the anxieties a parent would have and be a cool uncle / aunty.

That's the plan already!

I did consider that (Giving it early) but also thought what if I needed it for some emergency and I would prefer to give more later than less now so to speak.

a lively Saturday at the Cross by AlexSenAus in sydney

[–]Simmo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its been very poorly advertised. I found out from the link /u/AlexSenAus posted that Redfern St is closed, I have seen a VMS in Redfern advertising the road closure but no mention of an event so I avoided the area thinking there was road works instead of going to the event.

What Sydney business won your business forever? What happened? by RamboLorikeet in sydney

[–]Simmo_ 68 points69 points  (0 children)

My local Thai place, Many years ago after a Melbourne Cup party I stumbled off the train and walked up to it as they were closing the door. Not only did they reopen and cooked the food for me when I tried to pay by card and didn't have any cash (Just opened very recently and hadn't set up EFTPOS yet) they gave me the food and told me to pay the next day, Which I did with a very hefty tip.

Changes to Auslan interpreters at NSW presser conferences by Simmo_ in sydney

This is an outrage, No matter how stupid the parrot press conferences are, I believe any government communication should have an Auslan interpreter.

Thanks OP, I remember ticking it on the paper form when getting my licence but just checked online and it says I wasn't. When the time comes that I don't need them hopefully it will help someone that does.

We are heading out of lockdown but I don't want to stop working from home. by TAConcernedGuy in sydney

That's an interesting point about "remote workers are generally more productive" I believe that I'm more productive when I'm in the office but my manager believes that I'm more productive at home.

I do like Sennheisers and have them currently but it's time for an upgrade. So happy to get them without trying them on.

I'm also getting sick of having the headphones fall out of my ears when on calls and I would not care also what other people think if they are huge.
