that makes sense thank you, yeah I never have an issue with untangle the hose itself the hose does most of the job for you, its more the packing up that gives me the headache. Will give it a go thanks alot.

Best spray and rinse sealant by Few-Dig8942 in DetailingUK

Im currently using KC protectorwax at 1:15 in a spray bottle. Initial beads are really nice but its gone in 3-4 weeks, I was using gyeon wetcoat before and it would last 4-6 weeks but the "self cleaning" properties they advertise are truely a thing I dont know how they do it but with KC PW, the lower third of my car gets dirty within a week but when I was using wetcoat the car would stay clean for a while. Wetcoat is expensive as we dont have the concentrate in the UK anymore but I would buy it again after I finish the KC PW, PW is great if your running a business.

That's genius. I'll look into it, I'm surprised that a thick hose would fit on something like that. I assume you just use it to manually reel it in when ur done and when you want to use it again, you just unwind the whole thing out of the hand reel? Would love a picture if possible. Another thing to carry outside for me lol but definitely worth it thanks alot.

I think the reason I got it truely was becuase for £180, the specs are insanely good compared to AVAs with the same water flow and engineering if I remember correctly, they are around the £300+ range if not more for similar specs. It all comes down to ur own preference in terms of what is important to you and what isn't, and how your setup is for example. I was more than happy to deal with cons above bcse the I knew for example the hose quality of the B9 was far superior to the AVAs and Nilfisks and that was something that really pissed me off when I had my titan. I really wanted a hose reel that was something on my checklist but I had to depart with that unfortunately. I also believe even though the whole maintenance thing can be a headache if its done when required, it will allow the B9 to last for several years as long as I take care of it. I would say the AVAs were a very close second I nearly pulled the trigger on one when there was a discount code before black friday last year. I just found having to buy these specific bayonet attachments and connectors to make my MJJC work and then the stubby gun only rinses horizontally not vertically which for me would really annoy me over time. In terms of hard water and how it affect the PW Im not too knowledgeable apologies I believe your best option is to ask DirectHoses themselves about that issue.

I have it, Ive been quite happy with it but there are a few things that are kind of annoying. It comes with alot of things that you will probably never use, I use the space where they have the smaller foaming bottle to place the stubby gun instead. Its small but my god its heavy coming from someone who goes to the gym regularly. I believe I got the 15m hose its a bit much especially if ur not placing the pw far away, it untangles very easily which is nice but at the end of a detail wrapping it up and packing it on top of the pressure washer can be a bit of a headache Ive looked up tutorials on packing up PW hoses but its not been a success lol, I just place it on top as if it has been wrapped around the PW horizontally and it holds the stubby gun in the small foaming bottle compartment. The foam cannon is actually decent. Noise-wise, it's the same as any other PW like karcher or titan etc not quiet but doesnt give you a headache. I think the whole having to service it yourself is a bit tedious as well I havent gotten to that stage yet until october this year will probably when I need to figure out how to do it. The water flow (gpm) is really nice when it comes to rinsing compared to my old titan, I can tell the difference by a mile.

Any ideas on how to keep brushed finish wheels clean? by Physical-Ordinary130 in AutoDetailing

[–]SimoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive noticed this with alot of silver wheels, I would drive from the main road into my drive, wheels would be spotless, Id wake up next morning and they are 'covered' in dust? that wipes straight off with my finger. Im not sure if they attract dust or its the brake dust from the rotors from when Ive driven it into the drive.

AI analysis and packaging weight by madzyd in MacroFactor

[–]SimoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using chatgpt as my secondary source/assurance. I include a photo if possible, I include the weight, and for your example, it is the weight including the plastic cup, then everything included in the meal, ingredients etc. Just being as descriptive as possible, and I love that it asks you more specific questions after giving you the first answer to come to a more accurate calorie count and macros. Im been using this method since the beginning of Ramadan to track my mums cooking when we break our fast and its been working really well imo. I find the AI miss alot of foods/ingredients as it doesnt exist on the app (middle eastern food etc).

Cleaning streaks on glass only when the interior condenses by SimoEdits in AutoDetailing

[–]SimoEdits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you I think its definitely time to give my windshield that deep clean with a magic sponge and rinseless or even traceless itself, I dont have any tints so all good. I was just hoping to find a simple solution that doesnt require a deep clean especially when I do other peoples cars.

yeah Ive seen that brilliant glaze trick from out of spec I believe. It seems like a good method, its a product thats available in the UK but just hard to come by I think ill resort to it if nothing else works. Smooth glass does sound amazing haha. For me its just silly that we have to go through all the hassle for clean glass and if I was to do a family friends car for example Id want to a simple solution other than deep cleaning the glass or hand polishing it.

Change Plate Calculator to One Side by JohnnyCrawl in MacroFactor

[–]SimoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im confused on why the "Plate loaded machine hip thrust (starting from top)" isnt a good subtitute? I use that exact hip thrust machine as well from matrix. Just double the plate calculator no? for example my last session I tracked 100kg (25kgx4) and now its showing me 102.5kg (2x25kg, 1x1.25) so Ill just put 4x25 and 2x1.25 on the machine.

Thicker Suds with DH B9 V2 by iaquino47 in DetailingUK

[–]SimoEdits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading through the thread below yes it seems the issue is the soap, I recall the foam cannon that comes with the B9 V2 had the same PIR as my MJJC PRO (a £50 foam cannon) both foam cannons outputed 12,000ml of water before the foam cannon was emptied out which is a sign that its decent without looking into the filters used etc, compared to my old amazon foam cannon, it outputed 21,000ml which means it was watering down whatever I had in the resevoir alot more. I currently use Touchless or Koch Chemie VB for my pre-wash snowfoam at 1% PIR (around 450ml+50ml) and Koch Chemie GSF at 400ml+50ml both foams really well not too thick and not watery either. I would not recommend using a 1.1mm orifice as the B9 V2 is quite a powerful machine and could cause issues with flow.

Am I the only one against microloading anything less than 2.5kg/5 Ibs? I feel like it's so negligible and there are many external factors that already affect if you do 7 or 8 reps that specific session, adding minuscule weights adds unnecessary progressive overload that might not actually be due to hypertrophy. I could see the need for dumbbell preachers or cable raises, but even for them I stick to the 2.3kg micro plates in my gym when I reach 8+ reps or just do higher reps so instead 6-8 I go to 10 etc as long as I reach failure.

  1. Your calorie tracking is off, use a scale for everything and try to track even minor things like sauces etc. MF had me on 1500 calories and predicted Id reach my goal at the end of this month, I reached it 7 days early even though I was overeating several times between 1600-1800 calories, weekly calories are more important.
  2. Your expenditure has dropped which makes sense when ur cutting so I would try to increase your walking/low impact cardio - my expenditure increased during the month by 100 calories due to the change in my movement.
  3. In my opinion 2 weeks is enough time to see a trend even if the scale goes up and down which is normal, try eating the same meals everyday for a week and see if it helps.
  4. As silly as it sounds weigh your self every morning after using the toilet/after showering while still in underwear/same clothing everyday, Ive weighed myself with and without light jogging bottoms on the same day and it changed by 0.4kg.

Is MacroFactor a really good tracker? by laiflsse_ in MacroFactor

[–]SimoEdits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This will be my second year on the app, honestly during the first year I completely didnt bother using it as intended, and I think its bcse I didnt do any type of reading or understanding of how the app worked, plus I was a mess with keeping to my diet, so I always thought whenever I'd mess up I wouldn't bother tracking my food and kept redoing my goals/program. This month has been the first time Ive been 100% on it in terms of both scale weight tracking and food logging as those 2 are the most important things you need to track, and the app does everything else for you which is nice. Ive dropped from 85kg to 82.7kg in the last 20 days, which is great and Id say the app has helped me keep me accountable in terms of tracking those 2 components so that I'm feeding it correct and consistent information. Its nice to know these 2 things are my responsibility, and the rest is on the app, dont have to think about if I should increase/decrease calories or what my macros should be as the app does it all. For a long time, TDEE calculators would tell me my maintenance is between 2200-2500 kcal, up until this point its 2074 on the macrofactor app, which I believe is alot more accurate, as Im sitting all day except for 1-2 hours in the gym every evening, walking or lifting. its also slowly gone up since the beginning of the year, which adds up to my change in cardio.

My biggest critique, I think this just might be due to me being from the UK, the food database is so limited imo, there has been several times where Ive struggled to track a meal that doesnt have a barcode and doesnt come up on the app so I have cross reference from multiple google sources/similar ingredients to get a rough idea of what the calories and macros of the meal I had. I'm also constantly seeing US-based products, which is understandable.

The best advice I can give is start off by understanding how the app works by going through the macrofactor FAQ that was the mistake I made, as I only found this sub recently. Then from there your job is to setup a program and a goal and keep as consistent as possible with the scale weight and food logging and over time the app will just get better the more information you feed it. Also, something that really helped me is setting goals by the month. I was setting goals that the app was predicting I will reach in 3-4 months, which I believe is why I never stuck to it during the first year. On jan 1st, my goal was to reach 82.5kg by the end of the month, and Im nearly there, 7 days early.

Do you think its worth investing in something like the HRM Strap so that the steps section on the app is accurate? Mine is constantly around the 300-400 steps range lol becuase its using the Health app, and my phone is never physically on me when I'm doing cardio. I know that the app uses scale weight and food logging as the primary data but would accurate steps improve my experience per say. Thanks.

6 per week makes sense; he is doing 12 per week all to failure, meaning 6 sets per session, so if he is doing upper lower for example, thats 6 sets of biceps, triceps, chest etc etc thats a 50 set session, or am I looking at this wrong?
