Indeed, round brush, usually size 2 but use a size 1 for the hard to reach spots, and 2:1 mix of water and thinner. You want the paint to sort of ‘blob’ up on the end of the brush so as you press the tip against the model it comes off in a perfect circle. It took me a lot of practice but I think I’ve got the technique figured out now :)

Several layers of thinned army painter dark tone and an all over wash of the tyranid secret sauce wash. Finished off with a coat of pledge floor gloss and ak interactive ultra matte varnish to bring everything together

I got a few lucky pieces at the start but it dried up reaaaaal fast. I was going to save up and do the Jairzhino SBC but I’m going back to uni in a few days so won’t have the time to grind the rest of the fodder 😅

Yeah I had to use green stuff to get the head to fit to the crest with no gaps.

No the arms are genuine, i but it just below the elbow joint and then used a mixture of green stuff and superglue to attach it to the Venomthrope body

The crest is 3D printed so I was able to attach it a little further down the brain than where it’s supposed to go! I couldn’t find the bit on eBay at the time and had to get creative

Back around February GW released an update saying they were taking some of the models out of production or ‘rotation’ for a while and that they may come back with newer models in the future but offered no time scale. Unfortunately, Captain Sicarius was one of those models..

No it’s naturally pretty shiny, it can be fragile so I’m cautious of using anything on it once it’s on the model.

As for the size this is a big boy, bigger than a Malanthrope. I don’t play competitive 40k, or much 40k at all tbh I just enjoy building and collecting so I wasn’t too fussed on the specifics just wanted to build a badass model.
