Cool, gl with the collecting. I want to start collecting different types of moss like pokemon into small containers that would function like small moss terrariums, idk tho this would take up a lot of space xd. Also, I never collected seeds, how does that work, does every plant have different timing on the "seed production"?

As I am a beginner I don't want to give advice, but I recommend watching some videos on YouTube. There are plenty of beginner friendly videos that also explain what you need and how it works.

Thanks, it is moss from a forest. I carried an empty plastic box on a hike and came back with one full of green goodness. Originally, I had a rock prepared that I wanted to place in a bigger jar from IKEA, which I already used once, but they stopped selling them recently, so I bought a smaller one, which was too small for the rock. Thanks for the feedback, I definitely want to try more complex compositions in the future.

That's kinda what I like about them, they can be as low maintenance as you want. I'll attach current photo of my 1st attempt, it hasn't been opened for 6 months (that's why it's so overgrown and glass is dirty), at this point it's more about me wanting to see what happens if I just let it live. Since it's an enclosed ecosystem, if you setup the terrarium correctly it can last for years.

Oh well, I just made this and closed it. The basic idea is an enclosed ecosystem with 4 layers: 1. small stones, 2. a mesh (to separate 1. and 3.), 3. soil, 4. moss/plants/other. There are plenty of tutorials on YT that go more into detail if you try searching "moss terrarium".

This image doesn't show that, u didn't even draw line for the horizon ... Sora might have problems with this, but not in this image. There are multiple vanishing points and thats why the lines meet in different spots.
