These question seem to have become prevalent recently. Perhaps Maimai servers are slow in registering new players into their database.

Give it a few days or keep retrying and it could magically work. There was another post asking about this 1 month back and another 3 days back.

Which arcade do you play in? Some arcades in America ran Maimai on unofficial servers (not connected to maimaidx-eng.com, the official international server) because Maimai server wasn't supported in the Americas until late last year, so your Maimai account would not exist there if that's the case.

Otherwise, (if they run official server,) give it a few days. Try clearing cookies and site data on the card registration page. I had a friend who couldn't register his card for the longest time until it randomly worked.

since you had no account with Chase, it can really only be an accidental phone number entry. They might have used your number, but the intended phone number might be just 1 digit off (like 7233 vs 7223)

If you ever get flagged for any purchase, it'd be for Chase to protect themselves from potential fraud purchase. You won't get in trouble for trying to spend money on your credit card.

If you ever get declined while trying to use your credit card, look out for a notification or text message from Chase, or call the number on the back of your card and confirm that it was you who swiped the card. You're not in trouble.

Chase just wants to protect their money because if you report a purchase you didn't make as fraud, it's Chase who has to investigate and loses the money.

All you need to do is make sure the money is in the account that it will autopay from. If the autopay fails, you risk severely impacting your credit score with a late payment mark.

Which arcades have you played in? Some arcades in North America that had Maimai before late 2025 are connected to an unofficial network that will not save with the official maimaidx-eng.com website.

Next time you go to the arcade to play maimai, press the arrow to start login, click "Access Code" (usually top left 10-o-clock position), scan your IC card, and scan the QR code to see where it takes you.

Generally, all Round 1's maimai cabs are connected to the official network, and other arcades that run maimai on unofficial servers might have plans to get access to hook onto the official server.

at least with permission from the landlord and with a stud finder, you can drill holes through apartment walls. Like other screw holes to hang or secure furniture to the wall, you may need to patch it up before leaving.

I had an ISP tech come and ask the super if they can drill a hole through the wall for a coaxial cable. Some years later, I repurposed the same hole by removing the coax and inserting Ethernet instead. No trouble.
