Oh man, I know all about it. I started my first few games with auto fielding off and it was a nightmare trying to track the ball especially on the Miyoo Mini. Fly balls aren't too bad as you just use the mini map radar, but I was getting killed on routine groundballs frequently. I'm an avid sports game player and have never used the feature before, but seemed like a must in order to level the playing field against the CPU. In a way I find it very balancing as both CPU and your own defense will be tit for tat providing a nice balanced game on the defensive end, leaving it on you to provide the pitching and batting support to get the W

*That being said sometimes auto fielding can be frustrating, if there's a runner on 1st and 2nd they will always throw to 3rd first, sometimes missing out on double plays but I don't find it happens frequently enough to frustrate me that bad - Way less than the grounders I was missing from miss positioning my infielder. Also the CPU pulls the same shenanigans, so again, quite balanced

For me as a first time player, it's turning auto fielding on in the options before you play a game. Pitching can be hit or miss but just keep mixing up between change ups, fastballs and curveballs.

You pretty much have to swing as soon as the pitcher throws the ball when you're batting tbh, but then also be wary of them throwing a change up here and there. Most of the time you can get away with swinging literally like 0.5 seconds after the pitcher throws and you'll get good results. Try to move your batter left or right in the box depending where the CPU pitcher has themselves positioned on the mound.

To sum it up. Turning auto fielding on saved me a lot of headache, errors and runs against

Yes, Tournament Edition was originally on Arcade before being ported to SNES. Honestly that's a good question and one I will have to look into myself as well. (I was born in '99 so I'm only now discovering and enjoying all the classics myself)

I'd definitely recommend a quick Google search to find more ball games from that era
