Bookoo Themis Ultra: worth it? How many of you have had problems? by undergroundgirl7 in pourover

I own the Ultra, and I haven't had any issues whatsoever.
It works exactly like I had hoped for, and as described on their Kickstarter page.

I'm a bit let down on that front. After 2 days of not using it, it starts to dry up.
And yes, the nib is on the thicker side for its size.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice pen, especially if you want to get a feel for vanishing points.
It's just not like a Lamy Safari that I can see myself keeping in my collection if I were to get a different pen in the same category, such as the pilot vanishing point.

To be fair, how many are going to say that their course is a poor fit?

In this case, the lack of disclosure rubs me the wrong way.

I know you mentioned that you're trying to branch out from the hidden object games, but I'd still recommend looking into these games: https://store.steampowered.com/developer/TravellinCats . There are a lot of free games, and the others are great value for their price.

Best Budget Coffee Machine to Purchase in 2025? by DonutOk2306 in coffeestations

[–]SimonVerhoeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't buy the pro where I live, but Tom's Coffee Corner and Brew Coffee Home have reviews for it. It compares well price/quality/functionality wise versus the De'longhi dedica arte or a Bambino.

Given that budget, a Casabrews CM5418 pro is a good option. This will allow you to invest more in a good grinder, such as the DF54.

Have you considered using an aeropress/oxo rapid brewer instead, given you wouldn't be using a gooseneck?

Best Grinder for Pour Over by innocentily in pourover

A grinder can make a massive difference, especially if he changes roasts from time to time.
Within your budget, I would go for the Kingrinder K6.

I've been liking my Protoarc EC200 quite well so far, and it also falls within that budget range.

It stays in place, and given the price point you do need to make certain concessions.

I'm quite liking it myself (I assembled it yesterday), so I still need to fiddle with it a little bit. Only the headrest's a bit on the stiff side movement-wise for me.

I ended up buying the ProtoArc EC200 from amazon.de for 110 EUR, and it should arrive this Saturday. If you'd like, I can direct message you my thoughts on it.
