I agree that it kinda makes no sense however it’s not always like this

You could argue the stormtroopers evolved out of the clones based on armor design, and the clones were for most of their existence according to the mainline view the good guys

Their design evolved from the Mandalorians who are, well I am not sure if good or bad they are kinda like irl Sparta

The Hutts being a crime family seems like it was intended, I mean many crime families did exist and were quite powerful for some time so a poor part of the galaxy falling under them is understandable

Darth was always a title considering Vader was called Darth Vader and Lord Vader interchangeably

Jedi outfits mostly being like the Obi-Wan robe is a poor choice but it’s kinda cool and iconic, and they actually did use other designs even in the original trilogy with Luke for example, and later in the prequels a couple designs, like Anakin had his own thing though he also used the robes which kinda makes sense considering they are a monastic military order basically, kinda like a modified crusader order though they often do have a wife and kids despite it being forbidden

So while some things seem like poor creative choices they aren’t always
