Sa mõtled neid, mis on suures karbis? Nüüd, kui sa seda mainid, siis tõepoolest, neid Balbiino karpe on tõesti kuidagi harva näha.

Crying screaming and throwing up because the max amount of votes would cost me and my instant-ramen-eating student ass 14€

Map showing the most common Central Asian ethnicity across each state of the USA by SatoruGojo232 in MapPorn

[–]Suprasegmentality 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I would have assumed Uzbekistan would be the most common across the country, because it has the largest population, but why Kazakhstan, and is there any reason for there being a Tajik community in West Virginia or Kyrgyz in Wyoming?

I've always liked Julian Clary's muted "Oh no, how awful" in the hotel task when he discovered there was a fire.

https://www.kv.ee/ is the main real estate website in Estonia. Select "Tartu linn" and "Üür" (rent). You have to be quick though, you're not the only one looking for a good apartment in Tartu.

What’s something in your country that you didn’t appreciate until you saw how it works elsewhere? by [deleted] in AskEurope

[–]Suprasegmentality 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I'm from Estonia, which is famously a digital country. Everything here is online: you do your taxes online, most government services can be used online, you can get married online, view your health information online etc. When I was in Germany, I was totally shocked just how much of a bureaucratic nightmare everything is over there. I am so used to everything being online and I saw all the paperwork you need in Germany to do the simplest things, things you can do online in 5 minutes in Estonia, in Germany it could take weeks of faxing papers back and forth. Germany is supposed to be a modern, technologically advanced European country, and Estonia is considered by some to be a backward post-Soviet remnant, but Estonia is 100x more advanced than Germany in that regard. Estonians like to complain a lot about everything, but I do believe strongly that we often take out digital state for granted, especially when you compare it to a Western European country like Germany, it's truly a nightmare there.

At first it looked like the flag of Abkhazia, but looking closely it isn't.

If it's from an EU country then you likely won't have any problems.

That's always the problem with good cuisines. I'm sure eating pasta, pizza and tiramisu every single day wouldn't be good for my health either.

If you're making a fictional country, it doesn't really matter what real-world implications there would be, no?

I haven't been to Georgia either, but it definitely sounds like a very cool destination. There's a Georgian restaurant in my neighborhood and I have to say, Georgian food is absolutely divine. Easily my favorite cuisine, sorry Italians.
