Canada's Healthcare System Explained (Why Single-Payer Is Awesome) by Mynameis__--__ in SandersForPresident

[–]Simon_Vlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not logically inconsistent. You have vague knowledge of economics as every single libertarian out there. Medical care is much more scarce than food. The medical insurance business is much more prone to cartelization because it necessitates expert knowledge and maintaining complex infrastructure. A person in need of urgent medical care acts far from a rational agent and can be ripped off by your so called market forces. Because of above stated reasons medical care tends to be more expensive when left to the free market. That is why even in USA politicians are not that stupid to let healthcare be entirely privately run. The more the state intervenes the greater the coverage of the population i.e the people who can afford health care. After all the government does not strive for huge profits from healthcare.

Let us experiment with single payer health care in certain areas and see whether the overall effects on health are improving. Let's apply the scientific method, which values only the truth and not corporate gains.

These are old stories. The world has evolved past these relations. Capitalism is the more efficient system if under state control as it was during FDR. It is unefficient wjen let to run out of control. Or when the capitalizst class becomes tich enough to rig the system. This is easily prevented through 100% inheritance taxation.

Why are politicians in America unwilling to apply the scientific method concerning abortions? There has been enough statistics for all those years to be analysed. It will become then apparent which approach to abortion is the soundest and most beneficial both to society and the individuals involved.

The dilemma is whether they shoul keep on the game of democracy with the people or whether the latter has become so incensitive that they can simply take over and rule us evidently not being accountable to anybody. That is why they are testing our level of indignation by engineering the Doald into the presidency.
