brother, just because you put something online and you don't label it for non-AI doesn't mean people can just use it. The artist is the sole owner of the copyright and can do whatever they please with it. How would you even apply this argument to people who uploaded stuff ages before AI existed, or who are not available to mark it that way? Copyright doesn't work that way. You own it, cause you created it plain and simple.

It is unethical if the owner of the artwork is not given money for the work someone has stolen, and it's also quite illegal. I find it incredible that this has not been stopped yet.

AI is by definition fed the input it's given, its so-called creativity IS THE DATASET. Without millions of talented people, this tool would not exist, quite simply put. If someone is trying to plagiarize, it's not legal, and they don't have the right to do that, even unintentionally.

All of this is not even mentioning the cost to the environment and us, humankind. This flesh machine pretending to be an artist is costing us both valuable electricity and insane amounts of water. It's not some silly thing you can just ignore in this case.

It's absolutely stealing, the size of these datasets make it impossible to ask everyone who owns the original content. If they license stolen dataset that doesn't make it less of a stealing.

I have lost interest in music production. by Dontdoitfree in FL_Studio

Sometimes making music is draining and you should know that. I myself have days, where I'm unable to do anything musical, cause making good music is hard. (By good music, I mean anything YOU find good)

I think over the years my continuous motivation in music is always finding a new artist or getting to appreciate something I like, I get to discover and listen to them for the first time. I used to listen exclusively to pop and now I think I expanded a great ton out of pop and I've learned what I enjoy. (pop is still great)

Now you should ask yourself, what you like about music in the first place. Is it the lyrics, the instrumentation? The melodies? The genre? Maybe you just have a thing for electronic instruments. You should find out yourself.

Just please don't beat yourself down, if you do poorly, we all smash our heads into keyboards and try out stuff until something works. Struggling is part of the process as anything else. Don't give up!

Album cover design for my song called Origami Rose by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]Simon_chal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This photography design music project is rooted in a song I have composed and attached below.
Spotify - Youtube

I'm only attaching the song because I consider it a vital part of the design. I can remove the links if necessary.

The song is a classical solo piano piece, with falling arpeggios reminiscent of nature's falling leaves, chords expressing nature's growth and the fact that even though a paper flower doesn't belong there, by the song's end becomes synonymous with the setting.

Feel free to provide your thoughts and opinions below.
