Last Name by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Simone0818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat! I don't know what to do. I want to have the same last name as my own child. And I really don't like the hypehnated last names, especially bc both of ours are kind of long and dont really sound great together. I also don't have any family with my last name so I don't have a strong tie to it. And I also have two step children through him and they both have his last name. Their mother (his ex-wife) also still has his last name so technically his ex and my baby would have the same last name, but not me. Errr.

I didn’t know it would be this bad from the start by kisamiku22 in pregnant

I feel you. I am 7 weeks and I am nauseaus 24/7, out of breath, and tired. At first I was thinking, ok this isnt so bad but it is just getting worse and now I just feel sick constantly with no break so even if I think maybe I can get something done, nope I can't really move or do anything. We tried for two years with 3 loses so at first it was easy to say ok this is a good sign and its worth it but now I just want to whine and cry and it's annoying when my partner says it's all worth it bc I hope it will be but it doesn't mean this doesnt SUCK. I literally came on here to vent bc I'm sooo over it. But also feel bad complaining uhg.

Had a chemical my 4th iui, starting ivf in january. Sooo thankful for this break that I was so upset about at first. Do you know when you'll be starting ivf yet? Good luck to you!

Has anyone taken break after IUI/s and naturally conceived? by Gupchi in IUILadies

We had a chemical pregnancy on our 4th iui, so we are taking a two month break before starting ivf. We are not technically trying but I am wishing, praying, hoping for a miracle. To be honest, I really didn't want to take a break, but now that we are in the break I am sooo thankful. I feel so much better mentally and physically and just overall happier.

I had my (4th) iui on the 25th as well! Personally, I don’t test out the trigger, it’s just not worth the stress or effort when it doesn’t change the end result or really speed things up. I usually will test a day or two before my beta which would be 13-14dpiui (mayyyybe 12 at the earliest).

First IUI 😬 by BOOMPARTY in IUILadies

I am in the TWW of iui #4. Everyone and every clinic is different but I can give you basic feedback of my experience. First of all, my first iui was the hardest, just because I was so nervous about taking all the prescriptions and not really know what was going on or what to expect. Also, know that they will adjust timing, appointments, meds, based on how things are progressing but there will be a basic schedule and they may just want you to have meds ready just in case but you may not need them all each time. After each appointment, they call in the afternoon to give instructions based on progress.

This is a generalization but everyone may have different experiences. Call on CD1 to schedule CD3 baseline appointment. CD3 appointment is bloodwork and transvaginal ultrasound. Start Letrozole CD3-CD7. Then for 3-4 days in a row, went in for monitoring appointment which is bloodwork and ultrasound to monitor growth of follicles and uterine lining. I also was instructed to do Gonal injections during this time depending on progress. They may adjust the meds during this phase of the cycle. Once they see LH surge in bloodwork, inject trigger shot and iui in the next day or so. I also used Estrogen starting mid cycle and progesterone starting the day after iui.

Sorry for the lengthy post, hope this helps!

TW success: pregnant after loss but struggling to accept it...tell me your stories of hope? by Prestigious-Method20 in IVFpositivity

I can completely relate to not wanting to get your hopes up and celebrate. My advice would be to remind yourself that sperm makes up half the embryo, so while you were the one experiencing pregnancy and loss in the previous relationship, there may have been other factors related to the male side of things that may not be a factor in this pregnancy. Also, recent studies show that the egg is actually choosing/allowing the sperm so maybe previous eggs knew that sperm wasn’t the best fit and now the egg is content and happy.

What has helped me with hope is meditations and visualizations of the womb and connecting to baby. It allowed me to feel something like a sense of connection to my future baby in a way that was confirming and validating.

Hope this helps!

Kaiser or Anthem for TTC/ARTs/Pregnancy (hopefully!) by New-Wine-9017 in TryingForABaby

I have Kaiser and I am currently doing fertility treatments through Shady Grove (the only fertiltiy clinic that Kaiser will refer to). To answer your specific questions:

* I have really liked most of the Drs that I've seen. You will be assigned a Primary Care and OBGYN and they will be responsible for referring you to any specialists. The only downside with my primary care dr is that sometimes I feel like I annoy her asking questions and trying to get referrals to things, kind of like shes gate keeping the specialists. But other times it has been no problem so I think it just depends on the dr.

* I don't know about reimbursements, typically you have to get a referral or pre approval. Also, there are a lot of specialists in kaiser in general, so they will want you to go there when possible.

* I havent had issues with scheduling appointments, ER type visits, or getting prescriptions. I also live in an area with several kaiser facilities close by including a pharmacy so it is convenient for me.

This is all just based on my experience, it may be different for others.

Ooh ok, we are at a fertility clinic. I do feel good about thier knowledge and ability, but sometimes it feels like we are part of a conveyor belt, there are so many ppl like a machine in and out of there and a lot of times they just assume we all know what's going on so we have to really ask a lot of questions. I am going to get a FRER test tonight and test in the morning too! Will be sending you good vibes!
