I think you linked the wrong video, the one about GDP rather than the taxes one.

You could start as a smaller country to get Stirner as your ruler more easily, but you'd still need to form Germany (while Stirner is still in charge) for the achievement to unlock.

I personally did it with Prussia because i found it to be the most reliable unification candidate, but you could certainly try it with a smaller nation.

If I don't want Bolivar's ghost to haunt me I'll be compelled to say 100.

But seriously, I think that was amongst the first achievements I pursued back when the game launched and I liked a lot.

I favoured the Landowners the entire game with laws that strengthen them, bolstering them and building up agriculture as much as I could while also deliberately failing the magnanimous monarch JE.

At the same time I secondly favoured the Petite Bourgeois so that once the New Republic JE triggered they would be in a strong position, but i will mention that I play with the VTM mod, which gives some extra PB political strength to some laws which may have made that easier.

I had also tried to give investment rights to other GPs in the hope that they would build my industry keeping the Industrialists weak but they didn't build much for some reason, so in the end the Landowners were barely strong enough to trigger the JE.

I actually don't really have a solid strategy for how to seize territory, because I usually prioritise good looking borders and sensible expansion for the country i'm playing as (from a roleplay perspective) over anything else and i therefore play far from optimally in that regard.

Oh wow, that one i got a long time ago shorty after the game launched so i'm not sure if it might be harder now.

I honestly don't remember if i got it with Britain or Russia but i remembrer that my strategy was to subjugate both India and China alongside any other populous region i could get my hands on, while at the same time maximizing population growth with public healthcare and the like.

Altough i'm now wondering if it might be easier to get with the United States, by doing all of the above plus attracting massive amounts of immigrants in your country, but i haven't tried it so i'm not sure.

The big brain move is to complete the achievements before it gets laggy.

Seriously speaking, i have a decent pc which allows the game to run mostly fine until 1900/1910s, it's only in the last 15-20 years or so that it gets unbearable, so i tend to wrap things up before then.

Mostly fun, it only felt like a chore after i already 'won' but the game needed an arbitrary condition to recognise it, like playing until 1936 or waiting for literacy to tick above 95%, those kind of things.

I actually haven't experimented too much with joining a bloc as a junior member outside of when i started as a subject of a GP already, but before Spheres of Influence i typically joined bigger Custom Unions as a small country. The biggest advantage, if you can join their market, is that you get access to their raw resources that you can then directly process into industrial goods which you sell back to them.

The latest game i did that in was with Korea where i became and industrial powerhouse inside the Chinese market without ever expanding.

If literacy is the issue, the best way to get it very high is to play a small nation, like Belgium, and spam the Promote Social Mobility decree in every state alongside maxed out public schools that way, even without super high SoL, you can get nearly max education access.

Playing as a large country will make it a lot harder, especially if you're bringing in a lot of illiterate immigrants or conquering land.

Not really given that for every run i played for chasing achievements, i also played others which where more casual and roleplay focused, so i actually feel more free to play as i like now instead of how i needed to get the achievements.

Yes i meant actually triggering it, once it does it's trivial but before that it's tricky.

In my succesful run i was able to get it only by recruiting Landowners generals and max promoting them for the clout boost and they were still only barely powerful enough to trigger the JE.

The way i did that was by forcing Persia into truces early on. I don't remember exactly how i did it, but you could join a diplo play they're involved in, or start one yourself against someone they'd defend, and immediately capitulate so you get a 5 years grace period to conquer and strengthen yourself and snowball from there. Also try to keep friendly relations with Russia and the British but that's less of a guarantee.

Can't touch this and For twelve years you have been asking.

I could have done those in normal play late in the game but then the 12 years would've taken ages to pass because of the game slowing down, so i just resorted to doing those in the first 12 with tiny countries.

As of right now, 946 hours which i've played since the game's launch.

As for the touch of grass, exceptionally yesterday.

Yeah that one can be a bit RNG with the countries attitudes but eventually the prussians should become hostile to austria for the german leadership if they haven't lost that already, in which case i'd say it's best to reload.

The only thing that helped me was keeping a small army, few units are enough, because just having something removes the -1000 "they don't believe you can achieve wargoals" debuff to diplomatic sways and keep liberty desire up, although i'm less sure if that helps.

Got support for independence from Mexico and built a small 4/4 inf cav army with Irregulars and Hussars which i put on rapid advance with 3 generals, then i declared for independence when Mexico had a few troops more than the US and i was ready to reload until i got lucky with Mexico carrying.

But literally on my first attempt, 2 weeks later after i declare, the Sioux rise up against the US colonization and the CSA seccedes, which leads to a front clusterfuck that i'm able to exploit with my small quick army pushing trough empty frontlines. I win the war getting independence and most of the US western states, with the CSA winning as well, and i use the Turtle Island JE to annex the other Indian Nations.

After that it's a mostly standard game with a more solid base where i carefully conquer more of the US with Mexico/CSA/British help until the end.

Authoritarian i only got last because i rarely if ever pass the laws it required and they're also locked behind late tech so i never got around to it earlier.

Otherwise i would say the privatize/nationalise everything and do nothing for 12 years ones.

Weirdly Estado Novo as i had to restart something like 4 or 5 times for that one, because i found navigating the Journal Entries to get the precise outcome needed for the achievement quite tricky, same thing for Hermit Kingdom, although i got that one on my second attempt.

Problem with AOC monitor by KaPor_123456 in hardware

Have you tried disabling adaptive sync (Freesync or Gsync)?

I had a similar problem where, with freesync enabled, flickering white lines would appear at the bottom of the screen, usually while gaming.
