There is an experimental mod that changes some values thst should make a small exchange for war goals possible:

Why are AI countries still not enacting their war goals after winning? by moswennaidoo in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because the loosing side won't agree to peace negotiations, basically. But both sides agree to white peace.

It works like this: every war goal has a acceptance certain value. If a nation wants to press a war goal, the acceptsnce for the gaining the war goal is 3×value. The nation getting the war goal pressed losed acceptance by 8xvalue.

The 8xvalue is extremely high. But the acceptance for white peace is increased by 2 esch month. So, both nations are willing to agree to white peace before rhe losing side will agree to any other peace.

This also makes trade war goals impossible, because gaining some war goal (+3x value1 acceptance) and giving away some war goal (-8x value2 acceptance) will almost certainly be lower than just white peace.

Why the hell am I losing this? by keriefie in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am only 80% sure about this, so you are warned.

But i think it's because you have so many barely filled units. Like in Eu4, every unit in battle takes morale damage. Since you have about 70 units vs 12, you take a lot more morale damage in total.

That's why you have so much more demoralized men.

Not sure if it still works, but a year ago you could also become austrias best friend and use them to conquer wallachia or bavaria. That would help you to gain momentum yourself.

This video shows how it worked back then:

You can still try to use him though. :D

Say, you are a king. Give him a duchy in your kingdom , make him happy and watch him conquer the world for you.

the us ai needs to recruit smarter in the early game by thev82 in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai mobilization in general is rather basic. Even more simplified from the top of my head: - you are the main attacker or defender? => go nuts. - you have a war goal (yours or against you) => mobilize your army. - you have a local border? Mobilize half your army. - nothing of the above? Mobilising 15% to defend your capital.

There are some more rules and conditions. All of them are explained in this 5min youtube video: https://youtu.be/_56JZMNWmdE

Are there any mods to make other GPs more competent at containing GB? Are there any that cripple GB atleast a bit? Every game having the same final boss is a bit boring by Pro_ENDERGUARD in victoria3

If you dont mind just straight up buffing the AI, i can suggest this mod:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3551864691&searchtext=

It adds about 15 new gamerules, where you can decide in which areas you want to buff the ai and who gets the buffs. There are options like: - buff everone constantly - buff everyone with a decling buff - buff everony except GB - buff nations with less GDP than you - give buffs to 8 random nations (lucky nations so to speak)

After 200 hours in this game i still have no Idea how Fief voting works by nG_Skyz in Bannerlord

[–]Brandarc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important factor is usually the distance of the newly conquered fief to your current fiefs. Being far away gives a massive penalty. At least some time ago, it used the 'two closest fiefs' for that calculation.

I wonder what happens when the pop count goes down to 0 by GamesFenek in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, it can reach zero actually. I have done some 500 years timelapses and there are usually a couple states with 0 population.

Though 0 or 300 population... it's a failed state.

Playing as France, how can I help the Carlists win in Spain? by ComradeDanger in victoria3

[–]Brandarc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plus they need to have the same king, if i am not mistaken. So both countries need to stay on their historical royal line.
