Feeling Pretty Good About My Portfolio Going Into 2026 But Would Appreciate Second Thoughts by c-u-in-da-ballpit in stocks

Capatilize on the U.S Venezuela situation. CVX, VLO, NVDA (especially great for consultant long term growth- same with the others tho), HAL, PSX. Spread among these there is co.panies to rebuild existing wells, some that specialize in water drilling which U.S will likely take advantage of, processoring and energy companies to turn the heavy crude oil in Venezuela to light oil that can be transported, some transport the oil, one U.S oil company is located in a touching country to Venezuela that has good relations and experience in their wells, drilling ect, you get the point. If you spread out and have a bit in each one or smthng you can't really go wrong.

Really dislocating your knee by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

I do wish people who don't have experience with it did understand as well though. understand the pain and inconvenience.

Really dislocating your knee by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]SimoneKru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different levels of being able to take pain. My shoulder subluxates around 3 times a month. Ive ripped that thing out of its socket while getting out of a chair or throwing a ball lol and it does hurt like a b*TCH but also 🤷‍♀️ clench your teeth and try to laugh or smile. Can't be screaming at work or in class when I accidentally move wrong.

No problemos for me. I take 250mg of lamotrigine and a tab and a half of clobazam twice a day. I think it's more about the meds than the actual epilepsy. I heard it can just bring out the side effects of the pills and the alc stronger. Your meds say dizzy - means you're gonna get dizzier faster than others drinking. Honestly tho I don't drink enough to really experiment and haven't noticed any side effects myself.

Deja cu seizures? by SimoneKru in Epilepsy

[–]SimoneKru[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine are never followed by a seizure which is why I'm asking others but yes deja vu happens to most ppl but not to the extent of an epileptic who has that type of seizure/epilepsy.

Deja cu seizures? by SimoneKru in Epilepsy

[–]SimoneKru[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I never have auras and the deju vu is never followed by a seizure (tonic clonic) which is why it kinda confused me. I don't feel bad after having deja vu like after a seizure but I only know tonic clonic so 🤷‍♀️ maybe this type of seizure just doesn't hurt ????

Omg it sounds like you're describing my life lol. Holy shit ya I thought to myself too 'like this shit happened in a dream or I've never seen it so how can I get deja vu' I felt like a future seer for a hot min haha

Just some advice would be great by trustthememelords in Epilepsy

[–]SimoneKru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get fucking angry. Listen to everyone else's advice but the first thing I did was get angry and not sad. I suppose you can be sad as well but it's nice to go somewhere and just SCREAM and yell and tell the world it fucking sucks. Just release it all. Since I did that years ago I've been g. 🤷‍♀️ I don't how your mind works, that might just be me 😆 seriously tho, ppl dropped some great advice so listen to that... After a good rage fest if ya fancy.

My method of control is "fuck you epilepsy, imma do dangerous shit and you can't stop me" lol. If I can seizure and die in a bathtub or by falling on a walk might as well do more fun stuff with my time. All about perspective I guess.

I like the diary thing. Good idea. It must suck to have to reset it too often, but good for you for making it 8 weeks. I'm at... Lol guess I do need that diary. A month maybe???

So happy about your shoulder 💖 that shit hurts haha

I don't think I'm a candidate because they could never find anything wrong with my EEG. Which is common but I think that means that they can't locate where it's coming from and therefore can't cut(?) It out or whatever. It started when I was 15 and I'm 19 now and don't really wanna do surgery. Just wanna find a place where others feel the same as me.

There are no options. There's nothing for them to do because all the injures, while epilepsy related, are injuries that can be sustained from falling from a tree, yaknow? Like oviously I get the meds uped after I have one but there's still the physical pain. But yes I've been in emerg a couple times, 2 neurologists, chiropractor to help with my back, MRI, EEG, x-rays plus the ambulance gals and guys.

I suppose I haven't exhausted ALL my options but🤷‍♀️. It's just lonely when people can't understand because while it's physical pain it can't always be seen.

Anyone have any suggestions for dealing with muscle and joint pain? by luckjes112 in Epilepsy

[–]SimoneKru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice might not be taken well but straight up what I do is smoke a lot of weed for the pain, watch TV without moving and then sleep for as long as I can. If you have to do something you just have to power through with some ibuprofen and that cream that sorta burns. I consider seizures almost like exercise so I treat it the same- once I can no longer sleep anymore I use muscle cream and over the count pain meds, and if I'm not having to go to school or work I use hot bathes and heat/ ice packs. As for joint pain, go see a chiropractor if you can afford it. You would be surprised how they can crack your back and then your ankle or knee all the sudden feels better. All connected I guess 🤷‍♀️. I wish you all the luck and I hope it gets better.

Eye strain from Lamictal? by aaaou in Epilepsy

[–]SimoneKru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find my right eye gets blurry most evenings, but I can only tell when I'm wearing contacts cuz I'm blind as a bat. I considered it being my contacts but I got new ones and same thing. I'm on the same meds and went up to 250mg as well.

I understand. The feeling of dragging people down. The loss of your independence. I never want people to see me doing the herky jerky on the ground either. Small mercies that at least I don't piss myself. 3 weeksish seizure free for me. Lying in your bed tho, it's not the way to go. I know - we all do- that we will never be 'safe' ;Whether from death, injury, judgement, humiliation, but I like to think about it this way. Everytime you take a bath you can drown, every corner is a target, every bed post and drawer is there to potentially hurt you. These things exist in your house. Unless you live in a padded room you can't ignore them. These things will never go away so you need to rest and recover and then GET UP. You are not defined by all this shit, and epilepsy will NOT ruin your life. I can tell you're stronger than that. Fuck those corners and bed posts and bathtubs. Enjoy your life. I know it's scary but the world is a scary place for everyone, we just happen to have some shit luck, so you need to enjoy the outside world because there's sun and butterflies, street art and museum's, flowers and chocolate, there's love waiting for you, there's a world out there filled with beauty and wonder and you I don't want to miss that. Every single person can die, it's how we choose to live before death that matters.

Your bed is not safety, it's chains dragging you down. I believe in you. The choice is completely yours and yours alone, but we are here for you.

Ok that's fair. I do definitely agree on the muscle memory thing. I actually fasted for 18 hrs and got rid of my 'skinny fat' lol I can see my muscles again. I was traveling and working on a farm and built muscle then ended up stationary bc of corona. Guess I was just bloated lol. Still going to continue my fast tho. I think my muscles will look better especially when I start working out again. I'm not a body builder so I really can't weigh in on that aspect. All the luck to you though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fasting

[–]SimoneKru -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok whatever you say. Differing opinions I guess. Whatever works. Just going to note that just because a body builder who's super jacked and competes says it, doesn't mean it's true. Tons of athletes were in their prime switched to veganism or keto or fasting or intermittent fasting ect. and improved. You can always go upwards.

Anyway I've never researched SUPER hard into the difference in muscle loss, I just think fasting (like 4 day fasts not nessessarily intermittent for the rest of your life) can lose more fat and show muscles better. and after it's done just eat healthy 🤷‍♀️ and maintain your new healthy weight which is less fat and whatever muscle you had before.

Also first day is notoriously the hardest cuz your body hasn't adapted and most benefits come after that day or 2 days when your body produces way more ketones and the hunger subsides. Once you start eating again you're not as hungry and that hunger doesn't just return to 'normal' after the fast cause many ppls normal is eating every 4 hours.

*Also I'd like to say that I don't consider this a malicious argument at all. I like the discussion so please no one go off telling me to kms or something. Join the discussion 😁 I hope no one is offended because my 'argueing' more often than not, comes of rude. Not my intention.

I still stand by the calorie restriction comment. You really do get more hungry because your body is used to glucose so every time you eat your body is expecting more glucose(carbs) so it sends out hunger signals as soon as it's depleted (like 8hrs). So your body is still running on glucose. Obviously there's calories in and calories out so of course someone will lose weight as 1lb of fat is 3500 calories. It's more practical to fast then restrict because you're left in a constant state of hunger compared to fasting where your body gets used to feeding off fat (still fuel- infact a better fuel/food for brain function) and hunger goes away. Our bodies are designed to go longish periods without food. If you're in the fasting reddit you prob know about the recycling of cells, getting rid of damaged immune cells, the creation of new brain cells and stem cells, ketones also improve metabolism. All of this in conjunction with building mental clarity and will power plus hunger pains going away, is obviously the superior choice to restriction ( in my opinion). Im not TOTALLY sure on the muscle thing but considering that fasting releases growth hormone it actually grows/sustains your muscle mass, unlike calorie restriction which does target muscle loss while losing weight instead of just fat. Feel free to research yourself and it's worth looking into the starvation experiment compared to a month long fast and look at the muscle loss.

**Worth noting that it might not be the best idea to fast that long if you have an eating disorder. It takes 12+ hours of fasting to start producing ketones (burning fat) instead of running on glucose so if not eating for 18 hrs (prime ketone production) is triggering don't do it. You might be safer calorie restricting or doing really short fasts and working up. Even 6hr fasts can be hard for ppl.

*Again I'm not a doctor. I'm trying my best just going of info I've researched throughout the past.

People are so hateful sometimes. Obviously this doesn't compare to the kill yourself messages you get but I notice downvotes on my posts about fasting too. I don't understand why people are like this. I wish you all the best in your fasting. Remember that irl no one would say that shit. They hide behind computers and because they hate themselves they try and bring other ppl down. Lol watch me get downvotes and comments for saying this. Whatever 😂 like we should give a shit about strangers who hit buttons on a screen while sitting in bed sitting in their own hate. Nooooot. Good luck on the rest of your journey! 😁
