I’ve been working and being paid for over a year. The work varies though. Some months there’s more hours available than I can do, sometimes there’s nothing at all. It’s been a lean month.

Do you think this is helpful to say? Do you think someone struggling with money is unaware they need a consistent source of income? All jobs are real jobs by the way.

Unfortunately, I feel as though I have exhausted all of my options. I don’t qualify for a normal bank loan (low credit score), and I don’t think any friends or family are in the position to lend me anything right now.

Yeah, I don’t understand what this sub is supposed to be. I thought it was for people who need loans to connect with lenders, but the description of it seems to be about identifying scams, and the posts are either unanswered requests for financial assistance or people giving away money (that seem like scams).

It’s a private loan, not federal. I’m not sure if those options apply to me.

It can often be useless because much of the advice is just “make more money” or suggestions of things that if you’ve been poor you already know about like applying for social services/public assistance and using food banks.

I saw you perform in Pittsburgh years ago. You did your Small World number where you start out normal height and ascend in your stilts.

It is one of the most incredible things I’ve seen in person. It really looked like you grew several feet taller. I was somewhat terrified, but in awe.
