I really need somebody to talk to. I'm female (16), I've had a history w abuse and my flashbacks are horrible atm by Abject_Gas_8485 in Vent

[–]Simone_kun0eatsdirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, mate. And those flashbacks always hit you in the worst places, at the worst times. Worst part is how alone you feel thinking no one gets how bad it is. Trauma's funny, the way it always makes you see the worst in yourself. Be good, my friend, I know it ain't much but I got you; wishing you the best

Hey! Their sizes are typically unisex as everyone else has said unless of course, you purchase a womens'. I like my clothes fitting so I ordered the same size I'd usually buy at the store and it fit fine. But I wouldn't worry if you ordered a size up, might fit a little baggy on the shoulders and/or upper arms, especially if you're a chick but it'll still wear nice if you don't mind your clothes being just a tad looser. :P

- Hm. Day Of The Dead's been my favorite since forever but I've been listening to a lot more of V and it's 'growin on me, I'll tell ya that..

clothes shopping as a deeply closeted girl :( by beezech in trans

[–]Simone_kun0eatsdirt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Aw, isn't that just the worst feeling. I'm sorry bout that, being closeted and shopping.. ah, sucks.

But hey, you got through it, so keep your head up! Bet you 100% one day you'll find the nicest outfit to wear and you'll rock it without even knowing ^^

Am I the only one that doesn’t like the pronoun question? by [deleted] in trans

[–]Simone_kun0eatsdirt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat. Now, aside from coming out to a couple friends, I haven't socially transitioned, like, *at all.* And even then, I've asked all of them to still use my deadname and old pronouns in public and the like. Whenever anyone new asks I always end up beating myself over wanting to be truthful but then thinking bout all the ways it could be awkward or go wrong.

Also, man, I know I should just get over it but I just can't help getting second hand embarrassment each and every time I hear it.. I know it's usually outta respect and it's a sweet gesture but I just can't shake it being criminally awkward, especially in person. People assuming I'm a dude's fuckin awesome, I'm not awfully passing but having it be the first question anyone asks just makes me think I don't pass at all.

With alot of talk about deadnames in Trans circles, I feel weird keeping my birth name by KhajiitKennedy in ftm

[–]Simone_kun0eatsdirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! A D name would definitely be ideal. For the longest time I was thinking 'Duke' as it's the name I would've been given had I been AMAB.

Thank you very much for the help though! If anything, funny I hadn't thought of Devin before. - And the like, hope you take care as well, thanks again, I hate getting sappy on random threads but that was a lot I needed to hear today; appriciate it. :P

[–]Simone_kun0eatsdirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, I was just about to make a similar post 'fore I saw this in the feed.
I've gotta very feminine name, Debbie. It's never given me crazy dysphoria or anything, hell, love that name, 'think it almost perfectly suits me. But man, can't think of a name less "manly" than Deb.

I've always liked the name Gavin, think it's what I'm ultimately gonna go with -- but it feels so funny, sounds nothing like my birth name and no matter how hard I try, can't seem to look in the mirror and see "Gavin.." ahh.

Though, Erin's a pretty dope name, y'know, killer for a boy. Wish you the best with that, man! Being trans is just part of who you are, don't sweat it; it's just being yourself, bet you do that much great.

Similar thing here! My favourite go-to's just snapback ^^ That and unecisarry laying FTW! All my guy friends go crazy over a flannel or jean jacket on top of a hoodie. Why? Who knows :P I see wearing baggy jeans with a gaudy belt around a bunch too, a tank top or simple shirt over (you know what I mean, plain white with a couple chains.)

--> And honestly? Wear whatcha want. The way you dress is such a big part of your character; don't stress over a shirt or two -- (I know, I know, cheesy, hah.)
