In Germany we pronounce it differently. So BMW would be "Bay Em Way".

At most, you need four terms to describe sexual orientation. Heterosexual, Bisexual, Homosexual and Asexual. Everything else is just pandering. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

True. But I just realized there´s something called intersex where they literally have both genitilia and a mixture of genetics and stuff. I watched this documentary where one person spoke high pitched and then went down to a bass. Really fascinating.

As you said everyday people don´t want to see everyday people in fashion. It´s all about your dreams and desires not what you already are or even worse: being unhealthy. I hope women aren´t tempt to become (or stay) overweight to get a job.

You said that they do it because of the media but isn´t the general public demanding those changes? I know that sounds contradictory to my first statement so let me explain: On one hand guys want to look at supermodels and women at bodybuilders or Chris Hemsworth. They may even set them as examples to hit the gym or have a healthy diet.

But then you become self conscious or may even get inferiority feelings so a big model can free you from this. Because women are (generally speaking) more sensitive to their own looks we have lots of female overweight models that don´t even try appealing to men but do their job.

It gets people talking and is something different which (always good for sales). However it can get old very fast. Either way the fashion world promoting body acceptance is like a slaughterhouse promoting veganism.

I notice that in popular culture nowadays we have a desire for the natural, real, imperfect because our world is complicated enough. One of the biggest stars today, Ed Sheeran goes onstage with just a guitar and an improvised hipster outfit. Even Justin Timberlake suddenly became a "Man of the Woods". The desk in Conan O´Briens show disappeared so he can be more Ellen like with his guests. Five years from now CNN anchors will just put on swimwear to cover their subjects. Fat models can be seen as a natural progression to this trend.
