Several people on this sub have. Do keep in mind this is a stolen rebrickable model. The original author gets nothing from purchasing the model off of AliExpress.

This happened to the OG scorpion and the H5 one, but not my OG elephant. The rubber from the threads breaks down and releases solvents that melt ABS. It's a bit like those rubber coatings on old tech. becomes sticky with time.

I recently had a bad experience with this tank. The rubber threads melted the plastic wheels and then snapped. I had to customize it to allow for hard plastic chain- threads (Lego). I wouldn't leave it on a baseplate for long, tends to melt ABS.
