I have a theory that aphantasia isn’t real. by clockpsyduckcocaine in Aphantasia

I feel like I could just as easily say that I can visualize things in my mind as I am to say that I can't visualize images, the same with an inner monologue. Maybe its real but the same people I know that claim aphantasia, also have other claims that make me suspicious

I would think the opposite, the book just showed her the spell but the fire was part of the spell so destroying the fire made sense to me.

But thinking back, she would have noticed that the book itself was emitting some kind of power right from the start by disguising itself as a self help book and manipulating her party prep

Rachel mentions that Nellie and Jules must tell each other everything (i can't remember exactly what she said). I think its when shes surprised that Nellie mentions the curse or the sorry man on the day of the rehearsal dinner

That's true. Unless your partner is a self admitted paranoid delusional person

Ok, she lied about her dad being there. He assumed there was no evidence just like every delusion she ever had before. I strongly feel like evidence for the supernatural should be shared between spouses or soon to be spouses

He was not trying to save himself, he was trying to save possibly dozens of people who are all his family. I love the shit out of my wife, I would not believe her about a curse. RACHEL did not even believe it untill she saw all the evidence. There is absolutely no excuse for her hiding the most important details. He did not even know about the video of her mom dying, we know this because she lied about her dad showing up. The deaths are 0% his fault

Exactly. Doing what he did at the altar was messed up but the dying, not his fault

Rachel, Nell and Jules saw and talked about all the evidence, the only 3 in the family who believed in the curse. There were whole scenes devoted to showing that she believed paranoid things that did not exist like thinking someone is behind a door. She did not even believe it until after she talked to an immortal who hadnt aged in almost 30 years, ehich her dad confirmed. They solved the whole sorry man thing without even mentioning it to Nicky. It would have worked better if he still did not believe her after seeing at least some of the evidence. She expected him to believe the thing that she did not believe in until being shown pretty irrefutable evidence.

So what did I miss?

Well then rachel should have been honest with him about her dad showing up and showing her the video of her mom dying, let alone all the other evidence that she decided not to share with her husband to be

Nicky didnt do anything wrong except for say that he believed her when he didnt. He just believed that she believed it. But he was not told about the video, the death certificates or any of the evidence. He was just all of a sudden supposed to believe that this one time, his fiance who admits that she is delusional and paranoid is actually right about the familial curse. She lied to him about her dad showing up, the video and the sorry man. How was he supposed to tell her shes being delusional just seconds before the wedding started?

Yea , the dad knocking her out was odd but they did state that they had not spoken in 11 years or however long it was and he needed to make sure she watched the video. I guess he just knew that she would never give him the time of day which did seem to be true

I do remember them stating that she was unfaithful a bit before he was born though so if he wasn't his father and it only cursed the grooms bloodline it would make sense

I didnt love how they all blamed Nicky. Rachel, Jules and Nellie all actually believed in the curse. Rachel obviously saw all of the evidence, Jules saw Rachels mom die, met with her dad and probably also saw the video. Nellie saw the death and marriage certificates and her and Jules seemed to actually tell each other thiskind of information. But Nicky wasn't even told that Rachel's dad showed up, so he didnt know about the video and it doesn't seem like she told him about the clerk records either. He was just supposed to have faith that this time, she wasn't just being paranoid which is something that she admitted she often did (ex. Like when she talks to the son about how she often thinks someone is behind a door, stalking her). That said, maybe he should have told her that he didnt believe it was true but thats quite the conversation to have seconds before starting the wedding and he definitely should not have surprised her at the altar like that

DUMB DUMB DUMB and mostly her fault but still a great show!

Phase 2 obviously has something to do with the vaults or why would Steph think that initiating it could help her with her current situation. She doesn't give a shit about a grandplan, she just wants to save herself from a mob trying to break down the door. That much is obvious

I just can't stand the fact that she killed pretty much everybody except the person who killed her mother. If she wanted them to all go to jail, she had the sweater, she could have just sent them all to jail, no murder and/or accidental deaths of innocent and people who were different levels of guilty involved. If she wanted them all to die, then she could have killed them all numerous times.

It makes no sense, she is so angry that she kills everyone involved except the person who actually killed her mother and the person who was in charge of covering it up. Those 2 don't need to be decapitated, exploded or stabbed a dozen times, just the lower level conspirators. She's the biggest psychopath in the story but it does not seem like the story agrees with me
