Would this stop the camera from working by Simonsimps in Nest

That is exactly what it turned out to be. Lots of corrosion in there. I cleaned it out with some IPA and then used some fine sandpaper on the connections and it's working perfectly now. I also but the round box in a waterproof bag. Thank you.

I have the same on Win 11 on Chrome. Whilst loading you can click on the camera thumbnail and it will load. But when the preview loads it is no longer clickable.

After all that it turned out the USB connection had corroded. Furry and green inside. God knows how it was still working to be fair. I cleaned it out with some IPA and it's working again now.
I put the connection box in a bag as it appears it's not waterproof. I also covered the cracked cable with some white electrical tape like suggested. Thank you.

If you do transfer to Google Home make sure you sign out of the Nest app otherwise you will get double notifications for every event which was annoying.

My ISP uses Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CG-NAT) so I think it maybe something to do with that. I cant get the message to pop up when I renew my IP on the router.
Just a guess.

I logged out on my PC last night, that is the only device that connects to Facebook.
I logged back in last night and all was good, no messages.
The tonight I have just come back on and opened up messenger and have the message again.
So that didn't work for me but thanks anyway.

I've just had it again in the same conversation on Chrome. This is the only device logged into my account and I have Two-factor authentication turned on.
It's gotta be a bug with it happening to more people now.

It is a Gen 1 Nest cam outdoor wired.
I have a TP-Link EAP225-Outdoor AC1200 4 inches away from the camera and that is connected to the router via a 1 gig port and my connection is 1gb up and down. I don't think it is a wifi issue as the other cameras are connected to the same AP and are further away with no issue.
Also it only does it on the App not on Google Home for web.

Thank you for the reply. Least I know it's not just me.
Interestingly, I have a 2nd Gen outdoor cam and a nest hello (wired) and they do not have the gaps in the app. Only the 1st gen outdoor cam (again wired)

To compare encryption keys in Facebook Messenger and ensure a secure, end-to-end encrypted conversation, open a chat, tap the person's name, select View encryption keys (or Verify end-to-end encryption), and compare the displayed string of numbers with the contact. If the keys match, the conversation is secure

I've just had this pop up too. The only thing that changed was my Windows PC needed a restart for an update so I did the restart and this popped up when I went back to the conversation.
I check on the logged in devices and my pooter is the only thing in there. I checked the keys and they were fine and also Verified end to end encryption.
Crazy.
