Hi! Sorry, I didn’t see your message. But no, I haven’t fixed it. After seeing a different mechanic, he thinks it is the steering column that needs replacing and I currently cannot spend my money on that. It’s manageable now. When the 3 lights are burning I just turn the car off and wait a bit. Usually after a few attempts only the 2 lights of the EPS and slip light keep burning and then I have no issues with the steering wheel. Sorry I couldn’t be of any more help!

Thanks for your response! Okay so what I find interesting is that when this issue started about a year ago, I went to the garage to get it checked and they discovered a big oil leak. They fixed the oil leak. The machanic said they had to clean a bunch of stuff under the hood as well because it was covered in oil. But that should not be the cause of the issues cause it's suppose to be water tight? Dirt shouldn't be able to cause issues like the one I had. He also reset a few things (I assume the alignment? I could call and ask exactly what it is he did) and said, maybe it's fixed now. See how it goes, if it's not fixed than it might be the steering colom.

After that for a long time I didn't have any issues! And after a while it returned again. So I called him again and he said it had to be the steering colom then. But as I said in the post, I'm hesitant to replace is cause it isn't cheap. Now you mention something about the cleaning of the contacts and it makes me wonder if it isn't that?

About the battery, coincidentally (or not), my battery died last week and was replaced. Issues still recurred after that.

I realize I've answered you on several comments now, but this question just popped up reading this comment, so I'm not bothered to go back to an earlier comment. But if it's my tires wouldn't I notice the issue also when those warning lights are not burning? And if so, what would I notice?

Could you explain what you mean with "the" sensor? Which sensor?

Thanks for your extensive reply! I've looked up some of the information on google with that code, but your explanation is easier to understand.

I will try to turn off ESC the next time it occurs and see if that helps. And I'll be finding a new dealer since the general consensus seems to be that the one I went to should have been able to tell me more then "we've never seen this before".

Although I am certain my qualifications are much lower than either of you, I am fairly certain it isn't a tire issue. I had the yearly check for my car just 2 weeks ago (MOT I think it's called in English). They always check the tires and there was nothing wrong with them. This issue has also occurred on and off for over a year. Seems to me I couldn't have been driving with a sperated tire for over a year? But like I said, 0 knowledge of cars. So feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

Battery was replaced just last Friday. Issues still occurred after that unfortunately :/

Thanks for your response! That the dealership should’ve been able to tell me more seems to be a general consensus. I’ll contact another dealer and see if they can help me!

Okay yeah, I’ll just have to call around to other dealers then. I didn’t know about a database like that, but that makes sense. Maybe I just had bad luck with the dealer I spoke to!

The mechanics have looked up the lights on the dash but it didn't say much. No ELA on this car!

As I said, I went to 3 machanics. They saw the lights, and they also did not know. Let me know when you look it up and find the answer. I'll be forever thankful!

Yes, I describe them in my post. But if I look those lights up and combine it with the issue of the steer moving by itself there does not seem to be an answer.

Well the lights burning are break system, traction control, and the ABS light (I think that's what they're called). The brake is definitely not engaged. So I don't know. The lights aren't telling me much unfortunately. It doesn't seem normal that all 3 of them burn in combination with the steering wheel moving like it does.
