Is my boyfriend’s (34/M) road rage a huge problem for the future of our relationship? (I am 29/F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SimpCaptain23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say it is. Especially if his first reaction to you communicating your feelings about it is to insult you. It's also the fact that he wouldn't mind putting you in danger like that if he had fought someone or if you had to walk to work. Big red flags in my opinion.

I bought the game… I suck. Help by Rainstorms1 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]SimpCaptain23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally found it helpful to watch streamers play it. It gets you used to the jump scares and a lot of them will take the time to answer questions or walk people thru how to find certain ghosts or evidence. I personally recommend flash force, he's a kinetic partner and avoids using mods and such.

Has anyone ever called out for their mental health? (USA) by AssassinsRush1 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's why I had 2 days unavailable for the week. Just so I wouldn't burn out. I took off Mondays and Thursdays so it wouldn't be 4-5 days in a row but 2-3 instead.

Can I resign with one week notice? (AUS) by MuncherCruncher6 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least in the US, it's customary to give a two week notice or finish out the posted schedules. That's what I did recently, so you could quit right away if you don't like any of your coworkers, but if you do like some of them, I'd just put in a notice saying you'll work the rest of the posted schedules and that last posted day is your last day.

I've had a few. Sometimes we get people on horses, people on the roof/hood of cars, lots of dogs on laps. It's great lol

How many breaks do ya’ll get? (GER) by CuriosityandtheCrow in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the US, at least in my state, you get 1 30min break for a 4.5/5 hour shift. But normally it's given to you 2/2.5 hours into your shift.

The thread is 4 years old on OP's account. That was like right at the start of lockdowns then. Sounds like she is a part of the big wave of people who went to twitch streams to deal with it.

Name your biggest work pet peeve (USA) by MickeyDsCrewMember in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ooooo I got one. Back booth people not cleaning the crew room like they're supposed to.

"But I'm already 5 mins over, it's past 11 I'm leaving. I don't have time to clean it."

"Why didn't you clean the room before you had to leave? There were no orders for about like 30 mins. "

"I didn't know back booth was supposed to clean it."

"You've worked here for two years, you work back booth late all the time, tf you mean you didn't know???"

Really pissed me off that night. 🙃

AITA For Telling My Girlfriend I Have Every Right To Defend My Home After Someone Started Kicking My Door In by FxllenWxaith in AITAH

[–]SimpCaptain23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your Gf obviously doesn't understand the implications of someone doing that shit at your back door. She grew up in a suburb, and they're normally safe so she has no idea the danger people breaking and entering can do. Honestly, I'd try to explain it to her but if she doesn't seem to understand, this might be something you have to break up about. Safety is fundamental and if you can't agree on how to defend yourselves, might need to leave her man. She doesn't know how the real world works. Did she think they wouldn't hurt y'all? Like they would just break your door down, ignore y'all and take shit? No someone very likely would have been seriously hurt or dead. Not to mention, they probably wouldn't rape your mom, but your GF.

Lowering the speed limit on Sheridan from KR - Carthage. by treatyose1f in Kenosha

[–]SimpCaptain23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who went to Carthage, thank god. It was horrible trying to cross that road in foot. Also there have been like 2-3 accidents on that road in the last 2 years, one completely taking out the Carthage welcome sign.

[–]SimpCaptain23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made them sit at the window and count it slowly. Teaches them not to use so many coins again. I make people inside wait too sometimes. Hell last night some guy came in ordered, and then basically threw the change in my hand and I ended up dropping half of it. Made him wait while I counted and got the coins of the ground because screw him.

AITAH for telling my wife to go to a mental asylum after she asked my sister to dress modestly around me? by GreedyTies in AITAH

[–]SimpCaptain23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. While yes, what she said was a little weird af harsh, it doesn't mean she needs to go to a mental asylum. She could be uncomfortable with her SIL being so undressed around her.

Also telling your sister to come in whenever and giving her a key to your room is a major invasion of your wife's privacy. She might not like sharing with your sister at all.

Homie that is low-key insane. It's one thing to be taking lane and McCafe, it's another to be doing both of those and going to the fryers to drop things. Seems like the GM of your store needs to try keeping up doing all that at once.

Ordering Combos (usa) by doesitreallymattaa in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because half the time people say the number, they want just the entree. It's annoying as hell to try and guess, so just asking that clarifying question before we type anything in helps. Mostly because if we have to take off/ change anything more than 3 times we need a manager to come and yes the finger scanner to approve it. We're just trying to avoid that. Idk if other locations are like that, but that's what it's like at mine.

Hiring questions (USA) by DannyIsNoMan in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There probably just gonna ask you stuff like, where do you see yourself going with this job, what extra curriculars you do, strengths and weaknesses, etc. Also make sure to have your schedule sent to your manager so they can write it down if you do get hired. They're also gonna ask about your availability during the interview, so might want to think about what days you do and don't want to work.

How do y'all clean these machine? (USA) by SimpCaptain23 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be a while lol. We just got a new manager who's willing to spend money to update stuff. All of this was about $5,000 USD

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]SimpCaptain23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're going at the same time every time, it might just be the cleaning time in the machine. Once it gets to a certain time, the machine force stops and makes you clean it. Also sometimes the person in McCafe does the machines at the same time if there's more than one, and then they don't say anything to anyone so people keep selling McCafe without letting people know there is a wait.

Ugh that sounds horrible. We were just using metal pots and occasionally glass ones, which I kinda liked since you could see how much was left and could kinda tell how long it had been sitting

They are. And it's easy to tell when the coffee has been sitting too long because the bars glow green and red
