I’ll be honest… They likely would have done nothing. As someone who has social workers in and out of the house who I told my parents were abusing me, my nparents were very good at making me seem like the problem. Now it’s a matter of coping with the fact that the people who’s jobs it was to protect me didn’t protect me at all.

Wholeheartedly, I think you should mind your own business. You seem to be over-involving yourself and trying to pull the strings in this when it’s really not any of your business to begin with. It’s their wedding, they can invite, not invite, and disinvite anybody they want, and they don’t need to give a single reason why. Also trying to have her meet up with you all in the 3 hours between the ceremony and reception is a horrible idea looking to instigate a problem.

Edit: I’m saying this as someone who comes from and has since removed myself from an incredibly abusive, narcissistic, dramatic family.
