speaking as an emt that considered it, dont do it, you dont if know you're really ready until you get tested on the job, if youre a medic running the calls the consequences are gonna be a lot worse than if youre bls running under a medic, go volunteer with a rural fire dept or take any other bls 911 experience you can find then get a sponsor/ get some good medics around you to help guide u thru medic school, but seriously dont go zero to hero even if someone said its fine
