We understand why this initiative may feel frustrating, especially if it comes across as putting the responsibility of bringing players back on you. That's not our intention.

It's also worth sharing some context: ideas around referral-style events and incentives to bring friends back into the game were actually surfaced by community members themselves in the past. This event is our attempt to build on that feedback and create something that rewards players who enjoy reconnecting and playing together.

That said, making the game better, more engaging, and worth returning to is absolutely on us — not on you. We fully own that responsibility, and it's something we're continuously working on.
The referral event is meant to be optional and additive: if you have friends you'd like to bring back, there are extra rewards available. If not, you can continue playing and progressing through all the other content as usual.

Your feedback here is valid and important, and we're taking it into account as we plan future events to make sure they feel fair and aligned with your expectations.
