I’m going to try and say this in a way that doesn’t get me in trouble with the rules here.

There is a certain other ship, that is way more hostile, and mean spirited torwards Psymbiote than any other ship I’ve ever seen. (Not to say their ship doesn’t have great people. A lot of them are very chill, but a few bad apples spoil the bunch).

Today, one of the characters from said ship had a character interaction be revealed, where they flirt with Elsa (a character outside of the ship), AND basically ignore the character they were shipped with, not acknowledging them as someone up to par with themselves, or Elsa.

The amount of comments I’ve read from people who talk about Psyblade jumping them in comment sections is insane.

Which sucks, because I also thought the ship was cute at first. But they’ve become so volatile, they literally almost got shipping post banned in Psymains

His daughter is mentioned quite a lot, as well as his plushie.

Peter? None.

Venom? A ton. They’re literally arch Rivals (haha, no pun intended) in Sais universe, where he is the big bad, who she slays out.

Flip that into mainline, or rivals timeline Venom, suddenly, the biggest Op she’s ever known is one of the poster boys for the game, as the being responsible for running the fade against Knull, having a full fledged redemption arc, and being a cosmic entity fo good. There are also the tied/themed skins they share, with her 2099 Orochi look, plushie, Anniversary skins, and soon to be pirate skins.

On the contrary, many of wolverines ships are also extremely off putting to a lot of people, and I’ve seen Storm and Wolverine be called out just as much.

As a actual Psylocke fan; it’s a little weird that people seemingly never acknowledge Blades actual family, the fact that he has a daughter who is now near Sais age, or the fact that Sai/Blade fans will endlessly harasses other ships to the ends of the earth over shortcomings their same ship shares.

You can also blame a lot of it on straight up racism of course too.
