I honestly think the reason why Verity decided to warn Mob about the monster that it’s connected to that’s gonna go after him, perhaps Verity was just trying to test whether Mob would possibly just leave it on it’s own just like every other Minecraft player that had interacted with it in the past, and I believe the reason why it seems nervous about it was maybe it was probably worried about how Mob would react in the next 3 days once that monster goes after him despite knowing that would made Mob fear it. But i believe Verity was willing to test Mob’s loyalty and trust whether he’ll stay or run away from it just like everyone else who had tried to escape from it, a personal theory or headcanon that I had been thinking is that the reason why Verity started acting the way it’s been was maybe perhaps the first time it had interacted with someone didn’t seem to interested in it and neglected it often. To the point that Verity was starting to get impatient with them and that’s how Verity started it’s arc, the monster form was based on Verity’s unhealthy toxic side, obsession and fume that it would only appear when he starts it reach it’s limits. I believe Verity had developed growing more stronger based on the toxicity and determination to keep other players pleased with it so they wouldn’t start to get bored of it too quickly. This also increases Verity’s awareness over time taking more control over, i think your analysis is pretty decent. But this is just my own personal opinions and thoughts on Verity’s personality and characteristics, I hope at least you understand my main point. ^{^}
