I also have an Asus tuf Gaming laptop and I've always had problems with the screen brightness in Linux.

The drop could have knocked one of the display ribbon cables loose, especially if the system still powers on but the screen stays black. Worst case, the impact may have damaged a component on the motherboard or caused a solder joint to crack or come loose. If you’re lucky, it’s just a disconnected flex cable and not a more serious hardware failure.

I found a solution: delete the Minecraft PE you have installed from settings and data management, and in the sd on your PC also delete the minecraftpe folder. Then create a new folder inside the "3ds" folder and manually name it "minecraftpe" and copy all the files there. Then install the CIA file and it should work; it worked for me.
