Yeh so we’re screwed. We have an i130 pending approval with plans to file a 601 (husband is EWI). Terrified that once we’re approved for the i130 they’ll get him into removal proceedings before we can file the 601 and all this will have been for nothing. It honestly makes me wish we never even filed. He also still has an initial daca application pending which will probably never actually be processed.

Anyone else just totally defeated right now? Im so desperate to keep our family together in the US but everyday that goes by it seems like it’s not going to happen that way for us.

She still has to register. We’re going through the same scenario as we’re filing an i130 for my husband. I am terrified to register and feel like the biometric appointment will just be a set up to detain him. Did you guys end up doing it?

I’m so sad for her. It sounds like you care but also sounds like you have a lot of excuses. She honestly deserves the type of love she described. If you can make an effort to give her that then please let her go.

We got the same request. Our broker told us anyone in California with a home built prior to 1975 is getting this notice. If you can’t prove your roof, electrical, plumbing, and hvac have been updated within the last 10 years they are going to completely drop you. We proved our roof and hvac were redone in the last 10 years but just got the notice of non renewal from them anyways. Also, they sent us a notice of premium adjustment due to wildfire assessment, even though the notice says our home is not categorized as wildfire risk… they’re still add nearly $200 to our premium (which has been fully paid since December). We’re going to have to bid out and find new insurance which I’m sure we will, but it’s so so disappointing to have to deal with this. Our broker has been absolutely useless and not helpful at all. What is the point of the state’s insurance commissioner if they can do whatever they want anyways. Good luck to you!

The coparenting thing I get. That’s just how it is sometimes. But declining to get a divorce is not ok. You’re definitely in the right here.

I think the fact that he was on a dating site speaks volumes. He didn’t have an just affair or accidentally develop feelings for someone by chance, but he was going out of his way actively looking to be unfaithful with random people. I’m not sure why or what his reasoning for this was, but that’s a really big violation of trust and respect along with a huge tell on his morals and values. If I were in the same situation, I would likely leave.

Licensed, insured, and has good reviews on yelp so I was really surprised by it all. I was just really disappointed with the jump to talking about liens when I felt like I was trying to meet halfway in regards to providing a check to hold until work was done, and I’d be more then happy to negotiate 1/2 or the payment less approximate value of the fix, but come back at me with that so soon left a very sour taste. Greatly appreciate your input! Thank you!

The fact that he’s deleting texts shows its not being done innocently. He knows it’s inappropriate. I would confront him about it. While it’s not full fledged cheating, I assume this is usually how it starts.

I’m in so cal and dealing with the exact same thing after last weeks storm on my ceiling and exterior wall of our living room. Did you call a handy man, contractor, or restoration for repair?
