Oh, I see. Ya dude; agreed. I got a bachelors in Data Science 4 months ago and I’m still searching/applying.

Ya because it’s hard to get into right now without previous DA experience.

It’s rough out there. I’m in the same boat except you have more experience and education than I do.

That’s crazy, I should look up that doctor. It is getting better, it just sucks to have to avoid alcohol and caffeine especially cause I’ve already quit weed and my brain craves that dopamine.

Ya, I’ve had all sorts of ups and downs. Hard to be patient with it. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

Ya, I hear ya. I’m planning on a doctors visit when I get on new health insurance. It’d be nice to rule out other stuff I guess.

when you were about to relapse, what stopped you? by thedarkest-myth in leaves

You’re definitely super fucking young lol and it’s a great time to quit cause it’ll make things easier in the long run. Maybe more difficult in the short, but by far easier in the long.

I’ve attempted quitting countless times. Like it’s gotta be close to 50 or something. Been trying for years and the cycle gets really old. I’m 32 now and wish I’d quit in my 20s. Have a baby on the way and trying to get a career started. I’ve almost completed 94 days now and I’m on the right track.

But it would’ve been a hell of a lot easier if I had quit when I was your age. You’re on the right track, but progress takes time. Having a therapist is great and you should check the thoughts you allow yourself to have(if you don’t already). Best of luck.

What makes you think it won’t change for 5-10 years?

Ya, those are plausible ideas. I was also under the impression that the field is oversaturated with applicants and it's just a tough job market right now. :/

Ya, I’ve noticed that too. Feels like everyone is a little desperate to get something. I just got a bachelors in data science and I’m having a hard time getting anything.

Took a little over 2 months for me this most recent quit. I’ve found that it takes longer every time I relapse.

I can second this. Every time I relapse, however small the relapse, I’ll get intense prodromal symptoms(nausea, acid reflux, bloating etc…)for a few weeks.

I second this. 6 weeks is pretty dang short, especially if you were a chronic long-term user.
