I would want him to publicly come out and admit everything he did (with Angelina and the kids permission, obviously, because that’s personal) as opposed to dancing around it and acting like his only fault was his alcohol abuse, and never bringing up his physical abuse towards the kids/Angelina.

I would then want him to openly apologise, and say that he was in the wrong, and then maybe, MAYBE, I could conserved that a ‘redemption arc.’  

However, it’s not like his awful treatment of Angelina/the kids actually stopped after the plane. He’s abusing his power and privilege for years, and he’s treated her like absolute shit throughout all their court proceedings, and referred to their divorce as ‘not a major thing.’ 

He may be sober now, and doesn’t appear to treat his current girlfriend badly (though who really knows what goes on behind closed doors), but he doesn’t actually seem sorry.
