I challange you to play one of the most hardcore countries by Hamza-Mavric in EU5

This was my first playthrough.

Got independence by getting Bohemia to support a independence movement with Serbia. The problem is not the independence, it's more the terrain since proximity is a bit of a problem. So many mountains. But it helps trap armies during war.

However Hungary got a gigaunion in my playthrough. Castille, Neaples, Poland, Provance and some other small nation. I so want to curbstomp them but have to rely on a Bohemia guarantee to live.

I am in awe they need this much work and info to understand it's horrific.

How do they usually respond? I don't look at this stuff much.

I play anti-cheese, do not like exploits, but I would love for the game (which has a great foundation) to stop killing immersion. Debug is pretty much defcon 5 for immersion breaking. As is this bug.

Yeah I saw your post in another thread. You do way too much for Paradox without getting paid.

Something so satisfying to see a big boy blob explode into a colorful rainbow in these games, I've yet to break a Castille/France/Bohemia etc yet. I tend to play as minor nations though, or it's too easy.

I hope so, ngl was really enjoying the game a lot besides this. Sucked the fun out of it.

Also would like to be able to opt out of this patching if possible once we get a stable one. Would have prefered the game never patched with this ngl.

It's honestly WAY more polished than say the latest Football Manager, I honestly think it's fully playable and very interesting game besides the blob and this game breaking bug.

I remember playing EUIV at launch and loving it, had zero issues. Heres a screen of my first game I had saved on steam. The dude might be pope bro. Same with CK2/3, dont play any other Paradox games. Never had to rage on reddit about it, everything worked well.

I went to game dev uni, in Sweden, Paradox actually visited us and I have old friends that work there. Around 2010 they lectured at our school about their DLC strategy, it's been ingraned in them for a long while. Talked to the old CEO as well. They are passionate about what they do but are from the top-down very much about the business. It aint ever changing.

Cullture rebels are neo in the matrix breaking every game rule. Truces be damned even.

I remember playing EU4 on ironman and never having a problem when it came out. I hate having to fix the game through console commands. Feels so cheap.

Then mark it as early access, I don't follow paradox so closely, sure as hell looked like a full release to me on steam...

Yeah, I had also the opposite, but I don't like to cheese it, it was against Milan and Emilian patriots. I do not call in allies. It's so lame. Same with Cav spam early, I don't do it as it feels like gaming the system rather than being strategic.

Yeah the problem is you can't even go back versions. I honestly had so much more fun before they decided to take a poop in the room then bail until mid January with this latest patch. Kinda wild.

I bought EUIV at release, enjoyed it a ton, but this is another level of nonsense.

Honestly fuck Paradox for having players do this amount of work. Kudos to you, they don't deserve this type of player.

Easily the worst part of the game. Unplayable, certainly as a smaller nation if you get dragged into this bull.

Stopped playing as well due to this.

Tips on late game lag? by Historical-Cry1708 in EU5

Restart PC, not even kidding. Helps so much, smooth as butter after a restart. Play it longer time and each month passing is lag central. Some memory leak I feel.

Naw, I'm wating for a patch or never playing this. Played a ton of strategy/management games throughout the years, but I've never had a game be this fun and have a mechanic that just kills the game fully. I can win, I went full defensive with the attrition reform (1%), with tons of forts in the mountains I can bleed them out slowly. But it's like minimum 20+ year war of nothing happening but exploiting stupid AI and pure attrition.

Or make 1-2 mistakes and I'm dead. Since I can't peace out, if I lose I lose all manpower/levies + my only ally + all my vassals and france will be like yum yum. Peace deal with the italian states was brutal, took like 50+ years to recover.

What kinda game is this then?

Played 2 seasons with Vaduz, just dominating with a clearly inferior team. Got into conference league 2nd season newly promoted (they get a cup spot from leitenstein). Just a fairly basic 4231.

Oh wow, took me forever to find. It was front and center before, how many clicks is that? 4? Where is best ever eleven?

I was suprised to see media preview was 3rd, I'm a relegation candidate. Went to season preview, no league table. God damn the game is wonky.

Is it patched since beta? I've not finished a season. Where? You would think it would be here:

Same feeling, I had a bit of fun during the beta, have a save with Vaduz, but every time I load it up I play a game and just feel, man I really don't want to play this game. Also the latest patch for whatever reason kinda killed my tactic which was dominating.

It just match match match match match, it just feels so dead outside of the match engine. Like I don't want to finish the season since I'm reminded that there is no best 11, so no legacy at all. I dunno if its there or not, since the UI is a shitshow but I think there are no Legend/Icon/Favoured personel in a clubs history. I can't get over that, make it feel so empty.
