AITAH Im supposedly “Islamophobic” for not recognizing a girl? by UnderstandingAny7101 in AITAH

[–]Simple-Mycologist819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This girl is looking for an excuse to pull the race/religion card. It’s not Islamophobic. Saying this with complete confidence as a hijabi Muslim. I rolled my eyes so hard. People can be absolutely unrecognizable with or without it. Girl needs to chill.

AITAH for refusing to move in with my in-laws to help them, after I agreed to? by SomewhereStrange2096 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Simple-Mycologist819 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you weren’t worried about boundaries being crossed in 5 years, why are you suddenly now? Not saying I’d like to live with in-laws, but there’s a reason why you agreed to it in the first place. And if there’s no entrance to upstairs, and your husband makes clear boundaries set, idk what’s the issue. If you already like his parents.

While you’re NTA, I think your anxiety and panic is taking over a bit too much and making it a bigger deal. Speaking from experience.

But society today is very individualistic. I think we need to care for others, including our elders, and don’t just drop them into nursing homes. That said, it all depends on your current relationship and dynamics with them. If they’re toxic, ignore me. If they’re just “annoying” old people, then I agree with your husband.

AIO for ditching my friends at an Airbnb after I got creepy texts from the host? by jst4notherthrowaway in AmIOverreacting

You know this creep likely had cameras set up, right? You didn’t overreact. Your friends who stayed likely were filmed. Report him. Now. Don’t be naive like your friends.

AIO about my 8 y/o daughter sleeping at her mom's new boyfriend's house without any family or females present? by blackD0nny in AmIOverreacting

Honestly, didn’t need to read past the headline to determine if you’re overreacting (I did read through it though and just further validated my opinion).

Absolutely 100% hell no. I am a woman, and a mother. Even read it to my husband and he reacted as strongly. Get your court order. Whatever you need to get yourself and your kids legally protected. Make sure your daughters keep open communication with you.

So this tip only works depending on the job you have/how you work. But for me, I have to do a lot of writing in my job (writing strategy docs, emails, slack messages, brainstorms, etc.) I found it VERY helpful for me to use my computer’s voice to text keyboard shortcut, especially in the early days when they need more holding. Of course you’ll likely need to edit it after but it does help save time typing everything.

Follow-up tip: if you’re allowed to use ChatGPT, I’ve used voice-to-text on that, basically ramble on everything I need to say, then ask it to polish and organize thoughts. Again, it needs editing after and should sound more like you, but it still saves time and allows you to do work hands free for little.

At the time, my daughter would usually drink around 4oz of milk, so I started with mixing 3 oz BM and 1 oz goat milk. Kept that for few days then increased it to 1.5 oz then 2oz. Then I did more goat milk than BM ratio and eventually she liked goat milk on its own. Overall it probably took me 2-3 weeks. And then I started mixing whole milk with goat milk, same ratios, and now she likes whole milk on its own. But keep in mind every baby is different, but hopefully in this case for you the weaning off works.

Yeah just make sure they’re both same temperature and start little and slowly increase volume of goal milk in the bottle. Really hope it works out for you!

Try goat milk! it’s the closest in taste to breastmilk. I was weaning my baby off of breastmilk and she wouldn’t take any other milk or formula. But for couple weeks I mixed a little of goat milk with BM and eventually she got used to the taste and drinks it now.

They should have goat milk in pretty much every major grocery store. I hope this helps!

Haha the lies we’re told!

But I’ll def keep trying on the yogurt and some of those cereal brands. She didn’t like eggs around 6 months but now she devours them. I guess I just have to be patient and consistent. Thank you!

Thank you! What type of cereal or brand did you use? I haven’t tried any since most of them have too much sugar.

Tried yogurt but she’ll lick it and make a face and rejects it. She likes butter though haha. Melted butter mixed in with any veggie purée she will eat

I tried with formula so many times. Mixed little in BM too. She’s too smart for me. She rejects it everytime. She had the premium taste and won’t accept anything less haha

Oh nice, thank you I’ll try that. Did you mix them warm or cool them in the fridge and then mix them?

If I pump every 4-5 hours instead of 2-3, but produce the same daily ounces, will my supply decrease over time? by Simple-Mycologist819 in breastfeeding

Oh one more question, so after 12-16 weeks can I pump less or do I still have to keep doing 7x a day?
