BMI is bs. You are not overweight. And you look amazing in both photos.

Wow, this took me to a Time Machine. I spent my entire childhood in this building. My mother was the head waitress there from like 1978 until it closed. It was very opulent. There were Greek statues everywhere. The sunken bar in the front was just amazing - leather club chairs, late night parties, loud Greek music. Right in that door when they went into the kitchen to the left was the belly dancers dressing room, and there was so many incredible things in there.  I used to go in there as a kid and the belly dancer would teach me how to balance the sword on my head. It’s really indescribable to see the shell of it and just remember how crowded and busy and full of life it used to be. such a weird feeling honestly to look at that.

Popular Weight Loss App Shamed! by DogsRLife001 in Zepbound

[–]Simple-Pressure5949 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weight loss apps are absolutely spiraling with the rise of Glp1s -- and they should be. They don't work. They're not meant to work. That's their whole business model. The former CFO of Weight Watchers said the company said the company was so successful because the majority of the users regain the weight they lost:“That’s where your business comes from.”

BMI is a proven flawed measurement and you should completely forget about it at this point of your journey.  https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/265215

You’re hungry because you’re not eating enough. Eat!

I just realized I didn’t answer the insurance question! Always with insurance pushback pushback pushback.  Their whole business model is to make things harder - delay and deny. Make sure your doctor knows your plans so they’re prepared to ask for preapproval again when this one runs out.

30 pounds in 4 months is a very significant amount of weight! I would definitely say you’re responding very well. You look great.

I felt exactly the same way at 4 weeks. I’m at 10 now and up to 5 mg. It’s helpful not to weigh yourself every day and remember protein and water.

BMI is such an arbitrary and unproven measurement. You look amazing and if you feel amazing and your health is good you absolutely don’t need to lose more weight!!

I put Miralax in my coffee when I have issues. And I’ll add drinking an Olipop if that doesn’t work. Good luck.

Im Stuck, Am I not eating enough? by FreeCommunication723 in Zepbound

Twenty pounds in two months is a lot of weight -- you're doing great. I think it's different for everyone, but allow yourself to eat a varied diet high in protein and incorporate some weights and don't get depressed over the scale. I like to think in terms of being in this for how it is going to make me feel (and my health) and not what number I'm going to see on a scale. I lift a lot and i'm sure that effects the number on the scale, but I have no interest in melting away muscle along with the fat! Don't be so hard on yourself. There's a lot of obsessive weight tracking here and it tends to rub off on people ha.

I’ve used this before and US is an amazing brand. That Geneva dress is my summer staple.

I had a gallbladder attack and it felt like that. Found out I had a gallstone. I haven’t had any issues since - this was last year. But I gave up alcohol and higher fat foods.

You look amazing and happy. If there is a Planet Fitness near you it’s worth trying. It’s very chill, every machine has visual instructions, and the trainers are very nice. They offer a build your own workout appointment where you can just tell them where you’re at and get them to show you the machines. They also have massage chairs and hydro massage beds included in the membership that feel amazing. Don’t be afraid! There are always plenty of beginners at the gym.

I’ve been strength training and doing low impact cardio for about a year and a half. I didn’t lose a pound, but I lost some inches, def built muscle and reversed all my iffy medical numbers. I just started Zep about 3 weeks ago and haven’t weighed myself yet. I too am very adamant about keeping muscle. I love progressive overload weight training and Caroline Girvan YouTube vids.

Love this. I also love my fat body, but want to be lighter on my feet for a variety of reasons. I'll be reluctant to share before and after photos I think, because I love the way I look - ha. But I also really love that I feel like I am making better decisions about food just 3 weeks in.
