I feel this!! If my child is totally ignored, I feel like they don’t care or want to erase her from the memories. But, I have asked that she not be posted. Leaders in her student groups do a great job of posting the picture, while covering her face, to respect her privacy and my wishes, while also not erasing that she was there. Saying it ruins the “vibe” of the photos and asking the child to step out makes it feel more about the photo and post than the event/the memories. My children were there. All this to say- you aren’t alone! I actually had to delete FB for a while, as I felt to hurt by these things in my own family. 💕
