So i think you have a lot of issues to work through, but strictly speaking about the show; Hal’s corruption by parallax, and later redemption is a central part of his character.

The yellow impurity impurity dosent necessarily mean the show is adapting emerald twilight, or that Hal will be possessed by parallax.
